(ooc) Daily Halfling Build #3

In which I build a halfling build on my singleplayer superflat creative world every day until I get pretty darned good at it.

 

today I tried varying up ceiling designs, using different types of wood for the ceiling and floor, spruce + mushroom stem walls, and some general ol’ decoration.

 

This is a surprisingly space efficient layout. Also some of the rooms have slightly different ceiling designs from others. I went with more spacious ceilings for the dining room and more curved ceilings for the master bedroom and study.

 

Also, you can sprint jump through the majority of the burrow without hitting your head all that much, Yay!

 

IDK why I put leaves here. They just kinda look nice. Other than the leaves, this is a generic mudroom.

 

I almost put something in the center of this dining room, but decided it would make the room too cramped.

 

Branching off of the main dining room are two small bedrooms. They’re completely barren except for the bed and a chest tucked away outside of each room.

 

A cute little hallway. The trapdoors have furnaces underneath them, because I forgot to put ‘em anywhere else.

 

The Master bedroom with two cribs for young’uns. I love how the floor makes the big ol’ bed in the center stand out like it’s on a pedestal.

 

This room is a private study. It has bookshelves and an empty lectern. One day, an ol’ halfling might write a book to fill that lectern.

Cramped bathroom with a sea cucumber to wipe ya bum.

 

The exterior of the burrow. I don’t know if I like the mini waterfall I built. Maybe I could try doing water better in the future. On top of that, if I were to build a burrow like this on LOTC proper, I’d use apple player heads instead of red wool.

 

notes to self: 

-mushrooms are cool. I hope we can get mushroom blocks in 8.0 for building.

-make the storage and bathroom larger next time.

-decorate the bedrooms more ‘cause they shouldn’t be barren.

-try using stairs for the ceiling????

Shroom Burrow Pog

Changed the transition between the hallway and dining room. Now it’s very easy to move through, AND it looks circular as crud! I’m very proud of this.

 

Did the same thing with the mudroom. It’s not quite as impressive. Regardless, it still does make it easier to move around the burrow.
