Sir Erik Othaman nods slowly as he reads the missive, encouraged slightly by the final words. After a moment, however, he finally sighs as he sets the missive down.

"These are the words that are most comforting to hear. Haense has been through so much in its extended history and it has continued through the persistence of its people to keep Haense accountable to itself. The Koeng is nie a Koeng in a typical way. He is a shining beacon to those who suffered for their freedom so long ago. The Koeng is a living processional to those who gave their lives to forge the original bonds that keep Haense strong; the sacrifices never forgotten. The Koeng is nie a monarch of the people, he is a monarch from the people."

"But even with this role in mind, the Koeng is still human and prone to human failings, niet matter how grand. And before any states it is blasphemy, keep in mind that we rate rulers comparative to each other, calling some bad and others great. If they are all truly perfect, they would nie need to be ranked as better or worse. With such human failings does the path of unrighteousness come to light. It is a rabbit hole that many can fall down unintentionally."

"Should we nie hold our own Koeng accountable when he falls down the rabbit hole? Should we nie ask questions when there are glaring issues in the system? Should we nie speak out when the system has failed to fit the desires of the people it is supposed to protect?"

"In this missive, it is stated that the Haeseni people persevere to victory and will continue moving forward with their thoughts in the hardest times. Yet in that very same missive, it stated that they should nie look to the Koeng as the problem, but of themselves. What if the Koeng is the problem? Would it nie be then the Haeseni duty to persevere with their beliefs and persist even when the opposition is stacked against them? Perhaps the double standard is set so that all must be accountable except for those few who hold true control over the lives of thousands."

"This is nie a matter of the Haeseni people being able to persevere, this is a matter of the Koeng from the people being unable to let his comrades persevere. It is a matter of the people wanting to persevere and persist only to have their monarch crush them with an iron fist for even so much as claim that their monarch did something wrong. Saint Karl Barbanov knew this all too well. Many of Haense's monarchs understood this as well. The newest Koeng is still a bit young for the throne, so let what has happened this past saint's week nie be a reaffirmation of his demanding loyalty. Let it be a new path of understanding the concerns of his people and the memories of those that fought and died so long ago that made him who he is today."

"To those who have their voices suppressed and their beliefs attacked by those who disagree with vy, just remember:"

"I would have perished had I not persisted."

Corbin sheds a tear as he reads over the response, a quiet applause coming from the Wick. “Beautiful..” He’d finish packing his belongings from Vasiland and make his way to the capital of man.

" 'Our King'? He's not your King. You serve the Imperial Family of Oren, not our king. Therefore, kindly pipe down and halt your interference." Viktor Lorenz Barclay comments, spitting on the missive and throwing it in the fire.
