7th of the Sun's Smile, 1821

In the beginning, there was one;

GODANI.

When each race received a blessing from the Aengul Aeriel, God prevented the humans from receiving one, and instead brought Horen up into the Seventh Sky to reveal the Scroll of Virtue and make a covenant with him. This covenant is the foundation of humanity’s special relationship with God: that all humans must remain pure of faith …

Pure of faith.

Today, I woke to a single letter splayed on my bedside table; a short one. I opened it, and my eyes were cursed by slanderous claims - accusations of paganry, accusations of being illegitimate.

These claims did not wound me. No false words could; such were spun out of hate and jealousy, and faithful men in that great of a pain should seek and be given forgiveness, not further strife. But what did, my brothers and sisters? This slander!

I was summoned to the House of Lords by this anonymous man with their intentions being to remove me from my position as Heir to the County; and I can only assume who could be that wrathful to ascend to the Lords’ courts to claim such a title for their own.

In response, I submit a case to our own Orenian lawmen; and one to GOD, above.

With GOD as my witness, I swear to bring righteous justice to the pagan that dare use His faith in an attempt to slander.

Exalted Godfrey I, may this man seek to mirror your virtues in the future. May you heed my novena, and may you bring justice to this apostatic Brother of mine.

May he be forgiven in the eyes of GOD.

As his Imperial Majesty, John VIII, once said;

“For every Canonist life taken, ten Pagan lives are taken in turn.”

IN NOMINE DEI,

His Lordship, Viathan Vladislav Othaman, Heir to the County of Valles, Heir to the Viscounty of Valles

The Baron of Carrington reads over the letter, his expression souring as he did such. "Claims of-  Whoever is spouting this nonsense is vile. This makes me sick that someone would do this to their own family." Wilhelm remarked, tossing it onto a nearby table with disgust.

Viathan sighed, leaning against his wife with a furtive hang of his head. One arm was strung around the other, pressed to his chest as he mumbled back through his teeth. "Privej, my love. Ve'll sort this out." That man gave another lengthy 'ha-rumphf' as he turned back, pecking her on the cheek. "GODAN, guide me; Exlated Godfrey, protect my family. Only He knows what these wrathful apostates might try . . ."

"Sound like cousins need to bang heads together, da.." Said Rorislav Othaman, as he roamed the lands in search of his cousins, so he could bang their heads together.

The Count of Valles rolls out of bed as he went to brush his hair and get ready for the day ahead. Yawning, he'd stumble over to his nightstand before tilting his head at the strange letter upon it. Curious, the aging Count went to read the letter out loud to himself. Upon reaching the bottom, he let out a simple sigh.

"I'm going back to bed."

Beryl Jasper Carrington is choosing not to pay attention to the impending disaster surrounding the County of Valles, merely sighing and shaking his head "Should one care to ask me, chero- I'd say these two men are at fault equally, and should make amends immediately, how cruel for two of the same blood to fight, I hope it ends well enough for them soon." The Carrington remarks bluntly to his niece as he sat in a palace room
