In the times of Vira’ker, the original venture of the Syllar brothers, Canaan acted as a figure within the military, under his eldest brothers Vulnir and Avurak; with the three together at the head their military began to grow into something they took pride in. Though in due time Vira’ker began to falter. Vulnir was lost during his spiritual journey and Avurak was forced to take over, with such events happening in short succession, Canaan’s disappearance came soon after. The two, Vulnir and Canaan, now reunited under their new and proud nation of Ando Alur, had sworn not to be led astray; to defend their new home at any cost.

With construction of the White Tower came about the Heralds of the spire. The flames atop the construction of marble ignited and so their supervision of the Principality began. The first of the Heralds, Canaan Syllar, had sworn to his brother and himself to devote the Heralds to the Prince of Ando Alur and follow them without question, and as such their paramount task as the guards of the Prince was now their first and forever ongoing objective.

With their task of protecting the Prince came smaller assignments of ridding the countryside of beasts and the likes that would threaten the safety of the Prince. Heralds, as members of the Inquisitors, protect the citizens of Ando Alur in turn, though their primary placement is with their Prince. The only hierarchy within the group consists of the Onyx Herald and the Heralds of the White Tower themselves.

Heralds act on assignment of the Lord Inquisitor and the Prince, they seek out the creatures that wish to bring harm to their realm.

The safety of the Prince is the most important of objectives for a Herald, the protection of the Crown should never be questioned.

Heralds act as members of the Inquisitors and are to follow the directions of the Lord Inquisitor and High Warden, alongside the Onyx Herald.

Long may the White Tower stand, and with such the reign of our Prince.
