Statement from the Barony of Arenisca

FIRME EN ARMAS

Issued this 12th of the Snow's Maiden, year Fifty Three of the Second Age

For many months, the people of Arenisca have watched from our safe haven in the eastern lands of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan as the tensions between Urguan and Oren began to mount. There; we have pondered, prayed, and reflected on our history. In doing so, we have been reminded that there have been many a-time in Hyspian history where we have found ourselves in similar situations. A situation which places the Hyspian people in-between two great powers, each fighting for their own interests and causes. Each time, the Hyspians have had to make their choice, yet this time we choose willingly.

 

When the Hyspian people were choking for air after a devastating civil war fought between White and Red, it was the Grand Kingdom that sought to help us. When our culture had been put on the line and when our people slowly began to fade from history, it was the Grand Kingdom who offered us shelter within their lands first. The people of Arenisca would not exist had it not been for the kindness of the Urguani people and the willingness of the Urguani government to take us in, as well as the Hyspian people's devotion to DIOS that allowed us to pick ourselves up from the ruined state we had been left in. Therefore, it is with a beautiful certainty that we have made our choice in this coming conflict.

 

We, the people of Arenisca, hereby declare our official support for the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and the Obsidian Throne in the coming conflict. Whether it be militarily, logistically, or otherwise; the Barony of Arenisca will stand by the people of Urguan as they have stood by us in allowing us to rebuild ourselves safely. With DIOS in our hearts and determination in our minds, we will be firm in arms with Urguan and all who stand with our allies.

The Vice thought the statement about rights and dwarves were silly but he appreciates that the Barony is writing with Imperial stationary, and watermarks - cultural victory was well within their grasp.
