In light of the resignation of His Imperial Excellency, Minuvas Melphestaus, the Crown has thus seen fit to appoint the Privy Seal, Joseph d’Azor, Count of Azor, as his successor to the position of Archchancellor.

Mister Melphestaus has done the Empire a great service amidst the transitions over the past years upon the ascension of Emperor Philip III to the Imperial throne. Amidst it all, Mister Melphestaus has been a faithful, honest, and wise, advisor of Their Imperial Majesties. As the Vice Chancellor under the Crestfall Administration, Mister Melphestaus proved to be a stalwart and capable administrator, breaking ground as an elf occupying one of the most powerful positions in the Empire. Upon the ascension of Philip III and Anastasya of Kositz as a result of the Aster Revolution of 1849, Vice Chancellor Melphestaus would serve as a bridge between the reigns, being promoted to Archchancellor to lead the Emperor’s government in the turbulent period.

Furthermore, His Imperial Excellency, the Vice Chancellor, Olivier de Savoie, has also chosen to resign from his office, citing poor health and advanced age. In his stead, the Treasurer, Henry Penton, shall ascend to the office of Vice Chancellor. The Crown thanks the Prince-Emeritus for his many years of service

Now, the transition has been completed, and Mister Melphestaus shall retire to focus his attention on the governance of Ephesius and be appointed to the position of Privy Seal to aid the new Azor Ministry in whatever matters require his attention. A new age arises in the Empire, and new men and women shall be tasked with leading it.

HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Philip III, Holy Orenian Emperor, forever August, King of Renatus, Curon, Kaedrin, Salvus, and Seventis, Grand Duke of Ves, Helena, Novellen, Furnestock and Lorraine, Baron of Renzfeld, Protector of the Heartlanders, Orenian Highlanders, and Farfolk, etcetera

HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Anastasya of Kositz, Empress consort of the Holy Orenian Empire, Duchess consort of Furnestock

“A shame to see him go, well I must invite him for tea as soon as possible” Usamea would smile as the news reached her “I look forward establishing contact with the newly appointed Chancellor, I must draft a letter.” The Okarir’san of Haelun’or pondered, the busy elf commented before she returned to her duties.

Sir Charles Galbraith, a keen follower of all the national news of Oren, remarked the following upon hearing of the recent Imperial Appointment to the Chancellery:

"Our Crown has definitely been very wise by issuing this Imperial Appointment to the Chancellery, because this new Chancellery is precisely the Imperial Government that Our Country needs right now.

The National values of the brave Count d'Azor, followed by his now understudy, the skillful Sir Henry Penton, shall surely bring Our Country to Glory as long as the Crown respects their leadership over the Council of State.

Furthermore, being myself someone that has closely worked with both of them in the past upon the Council of State I can attest thus.

Finally, I would like to end my message in the very same way that our once President Pro Tempore of the Imperial Senate and Titan of State, Sir Terrence May, used to end his speeches: Onwards, to Providence!"

"The orenians must truly feel safe and represented by their new Arch Chancellor, he did after all beat his own soldiers to death for his own survival." remarked Walton.

Diana Vuiller would place the missive in one of her small boxes to save it for the later years. “Ah, dearest brother! How I am sure you’ll do well as Archchancellor and may you keep living up to Father’s name and legacy.. By our blood, we shall rise”

Spoiler

Ledicort d'Azor would smile from the Seven as he would watch his boy kiss the Emperor and Empress's Ring. He had taken his mantle and he was proud.
