A Guardian’s Viewpoint

My name is Diana Valentina d’Azor-Vuiller. Most people know me of my past work within the Empire, whether it be from Civil Affairs to being the Surgeon General. I am writing this missive with my hatred towards those who support the Kingdom of Oren.

 

 

My niece, Valerie Keen, was threatened and struck by her foolish husband, Elijah Keen. She was locked inside a basement while being tormented and yet no one did anything about the domestic abuse. Instead, they order her to get her children and bring them to the hands of the Kingdom of Oren. Those children did not want to go. Those children are my great-nieces and those precious girls held onto me as those awful people went to collect them. They knew something was off, yet I could only tell them that they would be okay.

 

This tyrannical leader, Frederick, is a monster. How can he listen to a man who abused his wife, and perhaps would abuse his children if he had a chance? I am appalled and disheartened that people, that I once called my friends, follow this man. They openly support people who beat their family and force children to do things that they do not want to do.

 

While the d’Azors stand neutral in this civil war, I do not. The Vuillers have openly given their loyalty to the rightful heir of the Empire of Oren, Peter IV. I refuse to let things like this slide. Innocent women and children should NEVER be hurt, especially those that cannot defend themselves. 

 

To the Keen Family, I hope GOD judges you harshly as you deserve. For all of those lies you spoke of love, you do not know what love is. To harm Valerie and force those children to remain within your home is horrendous.

The warmth and care a mother has for a child cannot be forsaken even with dire circumstance--Philippa Antoinette dearly embraced her daughter, Valerie, as if she were a child once more. Valerie--who was thirty-eight years of age--was only a babe within the Duchess' eyes. "Little one... I shall always be with you." The Duchess would mutter endearingly, thinking upon the days of yore.
