Hello, I'm Frank_Dog

I am an active user in Haense who has recently put the plans in motion to start a commoner family of my own with a friend. I love the idea of leading, even if it just for a family. To benefit myself and those who have joined me in my adventure I have been looking for more ways to finance us. I vote every day and it is plenty to pay taxes on my home but not enough to cover things like skin commissioning, business ventures, etc. I know that in Haense there is a variety of way to make money including selling items, servant work and stewardship. I am still fairly new on the server however and I just wanted to get opinions on good career choices, what pays well and is enjoyable to do. I have found that there are multiple good professions in Haense, but most of them seem to lack payment.

I would have to suggest tavernkeeping. It seems to be a surefire way for new players to make some minas alongside engaging in interesting roleplay! My first character was a tavernkeeper in a small town called Belvitz, and ended up owning the establishment some years later. It really lets you get to know people in a community, seeing as you just casually speak with people as they're getting their drinks, and most taverns allow you to just keep any minas you make from selling drinks or food there. Whether this is the deal for Haense, I'm not too sure, though this is just my generalized statement.

Mon/Thurs 6:30 PM EST the Orcs of the Iron'Uzg run a trading caravan.  You're more than welcome to join us if you have any wares to sell or trade.  You can also earn minas by travelling with us and acting as hired guards for our caravan.  This nets you about 25 minas a trip.  We venture to many of the different nations of Almaris, paying extra care as to what nations have activities going on during our route times.  This maximizes potential profits.  We typically trade rare ore, ST Weapons, Armor, and other various trinkets.  We do have specialized roles within the caravan such as Smiths that can forge our ore we sell into daggers and swords for use by our customers.

When it comes to making minas you need to think about what people care to buy.  This is typically only signed ST items or items of roleplay significance.  While you could theoretically open your own bakery and player-sign your items with special lore text, this will only be as valuable as the name thats attached to your item.  If you're not an ST, fair chance that item isn't going to be worth much more than ten minas.  Feel free to reach out if you ever want some tips on making money always happy to help a new player on their journey.

My character would pay for books, blank or written, or any talent in playing an instrument. Message me at DiscoLiquid ingame. I would also recommend tavernkeeping.
