The Lord of Akueli

 

The sunny skies and radiant life of Akueli went on as it should. The sun shone resplendently in the sky, and the ocean brimmed with it's clear life. The trade bustled, the people stirred, the foundry roared with activity and the ports had visitors aplenty from sea and land. Truly, the place was as idyllic as a vacation spot and trading port could be.....except for the Lord of Akueli.

Any main stay resident of Akueli could recognize their automatonic Lord, the Principle Keyholder and rather jolly Tribute Taker that greeted them every day on his walks too and fro, always busy. But as of late, many could no doubt notice how he seemed to go out less and less. His ticking absent from the street. If one looked to his grand home, they might even think they see a dark, towering shadow, watching over Akueli from the grand windows of the light house tower.

 

Even when one spotted him, they could see that he simply seemed more rushed than usual. He no longer wore that star bound vest, now wrapped up in a mighty golden cloak as he sulked through the city, minding his own. No longer were greetings given with jovial tone. No love was expended to those that passed, no businesses visited or long conversations had. Truly, it would seem a grand black cloud had come to haunt the wonderful land of prosperity...especially for the Lord of Akueli.
