You’ve found the parchment, and you’ve read thus far
I allude to a common prose, one hardly bizarre

You understand now, you ought to sit

Now comes the challenge: prove your wit


I find myself deafened, obscured by vice
Never to hear heavenly choir, not even for a price

Here I stand, in the vestige of day
Blinded by viscera and grime going every which way

Words ensnared by sin and eternal damnation,
No longer salvageable by mere liberation


My riddle is rather simple
Devoid of obscure content and symbols

Should you discover my intent, should you find yourself content
Bring yourself to the coast of once-blight, that is where you will present

Wandering the lands of yore, an elf clad in plate quietly ponders to himself. Eyes moving over the words written, in thought at the riddle as he ever wanders. Words were traded with a passing trader, a debate on the true meaning behind the riddle yet all was to no use. The elf had to learn it himself. After many days of wandering, he eventually sets a new destination, the once tainted lands, the words having falling into place.
