AFFIRMATION OF THE BARONY OF VORELORN

Issued on 24th of Horen’s Calling, 1904

Par proclamation du Marquis,

 

Every trace of effort is noticed, and thus can also be rewarded to the extent that it is deserved. Since the revelation of the United Kingdom of Aaun, the Rosius family has done what they thought was best for the kingdom to the best of their ability, thus their current position and the title of the Margraviate. In this position of peerage, the House de Rosius and their awarded land hold the right to hold vassals for themselves, under the name of 'Petty Nobility', and do hereby invoke this right.

 

After constructive consultations with His Royal Majesty, Prince Charles of Aaun, and also after certain discussions previously held with the Vernhart family, it is my honor and duty to publicly declare that I, Louis I August de Rosius, officially affirm Lady Eryane Vernhart and therefore her husband Harald Leon Vernhart and all those of the Vernhart family into petty nobility, under the Margraviate of Haute-Epine. They shall be awarded a Barony, now officially to be known as the Barony of Vorelorn with Lady Eryane being the first baroness of Vorelorn, to pass through the eldest offspring of Eryane and Harald Vernhart, and through their grandchildren and their grandchildren in perpetuity. They shall be entitled to occupying a portion of land under the Margraviate of Haute-Epine to use as they see fit for the construction of a keep, and shall be entitled to all rights afforded to them and to those of petty nobility as of the Charter of the United Kingdom of Aaun, Section III, Statue III-IV.

Iulius Vernhart looks down from the Seven Skies with a soft smile upon his face. It was not his other children, but his eldest, his disowned child that brought his family to this. He had watched the redemption story through… he could be proud of another one of his children.

Sir Rev Vuiller, the former Count and Seneschal seemed confused looking down upon his grandchild from the Seven skies, his gaze turning towards Iulius "But this one was disowned, we signed the papers ourselves Iulius.. He is no Vernhart nor Vuiller.. And did he not get ordained as a priest?"  He seemed baffled by what was going on down in the world of the living, yet he turned to his wife Diana "I'm just glad we can just rest now, this is not the dealings of us anymore"
