Bill-Galad was a vulpine Thain

Now him hast the impropers slain

The last who's Shire the bigguns rought

Fore independence we had brought

His tail was long, his eyes were keen

His fiery fur afar was seen

Our countless fields of towering wheats

Were guarded by his stalwart shrieks

But now has come his bitter end

Our loyal guardian and friend

By Knox's side he now resides

Through acts of Arugulean pride.
