Origins

Long has the Tennallar talonnii only sailed the sea from continent to continent. Barely ever did they stay in a place for long. Yet, before the option ceased they took their ship from far-away Arvis which is said to be a High Elven Island-State in the eastern parts of Aeldin and sailed off to Arcas. From there they joined the other descendants' journey, yet barely made contact with them.

 

Traditions

As seaborne High Elves the Tennallaran have an outspoken love for the sea, the clear sky with its stars and many more. It is quite common for them to prefer ships over houses as accommodation. The family is incredibly adventurous; often sailing into new parts of the world on their boats. Yet they are not to be mistaken for badly-behaved pirates - they are educated and well-behaved, appropriate for High Elves, yet tend to take fashion a bit further than others.

 

Upon reaching the age of maturity, a relative takes them to sail on their 25th birthday - where they have to prove their skill in seafaring, navigation as well as shipbuilding, once they are on shore again.

 

The dead are too buried in the grand ocean: Set on small rafts the lost family member will be sent on their last journey. The heavy stones attached make them sink slowly.

 

The family’s eldest bears the title “Lord of the Tides” - or Lady respectively. They are the captain of their ship, boat or fleet, depending on their current situation.

 

Appearances 

Seafoam is the Tennallaran color. It is often worn, yet it is far from the only color they were. While showing off the family’s colors is considered important, so is one’s own individuality and choice in colors. Typical are eye colors in the shades of purple, gray and blue - the hair is usually white, yet all colors normal of High Elves are possible, yet rare.
