An order that has existed for over a millennium. When the faith was ambushed on all sides by heresy, the priests formed a faith militant of the most zealous and faithful, at the time there was no name for this grouping. These ninety-nine men would march into the north and founded a priory, but the heathens would quickly destroy their work and murder the majority of the faith militant. Out of these ninety-nine men, nine would survive. Blessed Daffyd ap Cerum or David of Cerum would lead the survivors. Ser David was as much a mystic as he was a zealot and ordered that the dead be burned to ash, the remaining knights were each given a vial of the ashen remains. So, the Order of the Black Sepulchre was born. Led by Ser David and his band. He commanded that six of his knights go to every corner of the known world and recruit the most devout. The Order of the Black Sepulchre is among the greatest honours the Canonist Church may bestow upon a layman. It is the will of the Pontificate that the following men be raised to holy service, whereupon We advise them to uphold the traditions of the previous holy knights of the Black Sepulchre. The Pontificate confers upon Jan Ivanovich the ashen urn of Blessed Istvan Ivanovich. LEDICORT VUILLER - The former Amiratus of Balian, now an acolyte of the Church has spent a lifetime developing an entire kingdom and improved the relationship between Balian and the Mother Church greatly. Ledicort has worked tirelessly to instil a sense of Virtue in the Balianese. The Pontificate confers upon Ledicort Vuiller the ashen urn of Blessed Father Carlos of Cordoba. VLADIMIR VAR RUTHERN - A Knight of Haense and a Monsignor of the Canonist Church, an unlikely combination, but Ser Vladimir has risen to the occasion. He has advised us well over his long service and more than once fought in the name of the Church. The Pontificate confers upon Vladimir var Ruthern the ashen urn of Blessed Dmitri of the Dreadfort. It is expected that once the good knights make their departure from the order, the ashen urns are returned to the Church. With these new appointments made known, We also confer upon the four Holy Knights the permit to incorporate the arms and the collar of the Black Sepulchre into their own, in whatever way pleases them the most. One of Jan’s bannermen escorted a clergyman forth through the camp to Jan. The priest came bearing a missive from the Pontiff while also holding an urn in hand. The Count signed the Hussariya before greeting the clergyman who congratulated him on his appointment to the Order of the Black Sepulcher. The Count then graciously accepted the urn and station.
