What circumstances led to this ban?

 

I was given ownership of a war discord and intentionally gave admin to a bad actor who subsequently turned it into a nazi discord and posted lots of gore and other unpleasant things. Relevant report: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/214647-complete-report-i-dont-know/

 

Are there aspects of the ban you agree and/or disagree with?

 

Nothing I disagree with.

 

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

 

New map, plus many of my friends are looking to and/or have been unbanned.

I've reflected on my actions and I have realized that as much as I have fun "trolling" there are certain lines that should not be crossed. After the war was over, I had originally intended to spam a few jester GIFs and make a few ominous comments before just deleting the discord server, but I escalated the situation into something that crossed the line. I realize now that my actions were wrong and I apologize for exposing the wider community to all the explicit content that was posted in the discord. And I realize that I am just as much responsible as the bad actor who posted the content since I was the one who gave them the platform in the first place. In my time off I have been working on my self restraint and I hope to be able to stop myself in these moments of weakness. On the flip side after my little incident I sincerely doubt anyone would be willing to give me anywhere near the access required to do any damage.
