During my travels many paintings and sketches have been made and with whispers of our departure to the newly discovered continent, lets remember where we came from and what we have left behind, before we turn our backs on Almaris and build our new home. The Village at the Petra, ca. 467 E.S. Located on the road from Petra to the Haeseni Highlands a small village with simple stone huts emerges from between the trees. Even without the splendor with with the Capitals are built, it catches the eye. The Petran Arch, ca. 467 E.S. The Petran Arch, similar to the Arch leading up to what was Savoy, stands on the road between Adria and Petra. As if one would step through a portal, passing through the arch means leaving the Adrian forests behind and entering the meadows of the Heartlands. The Varoche Estate, ca. 467 E.S. The Estate inhabited by the Varoche Clan is build onto a cliffside close to the Eastern Hub. In the painting depicted is the main building as seen from the secondary House, including it’s vineyard. The Southern Oasis, ca. 468 E.S. Before the eternal darkness had settled in the southern deserts the southern Hub invited travelers to rest before they made their way to Balian, Lurin or one of the other settlements. Homestead View, ca. 472 E.S. At the Border to Petra and Aaun, on a cliff overlooking the Petra, House Stafyr had built their Homestead with permission of Koeng Georg I. This sketch depicts the view from my personal study. Halleberg, ca. 473 E.S. The old Vanir Keep - later repossessed by the Krawn -stands tall, looming over the Queens Woods and the Queens Hunting cottage. Karosgrad from the Queens Woods, ca. 475 E.S. Passing through the Queen's woods the Walls of Karosgrad stand stall above the tree crowns. The Stones are a trademark for any Haeseni castle or keep, almost glowing through the dark green of the northern Forests and the Rimeveld. It certainly catches the eye. The Hippodrome, ca. 475 E.S. A place of contest brave knights, dames and soldiers have fought for honour in this arena. Months before the Mori conquest of Haense the Koenas had the Knights and Dames of Hanseti-Ruska fight for a spot in her personal guard. She thinks back to her families lands of Hyspia, and the short time she spent living with her husband in the Morrivi palace before the Mori had taken over.
