MadOne 3456 Share Posted June 18, 2023 DIE GESETZESSPRECHER WAHLEN VON 1929 THE LAWSPEAKER ELECTION OF 1929 Penned by the Erstkanzler of Minitz, and issued by the Grand Prince of Minitz in the year of our Lord 1929 SÖHNE UND TÖCHTER VON MINITZ, With the presumed passing of the previous Lawspeaker of Minitz, Sir Maxwell ad Landren, a crucial gap in our Grand Principality has occurred. The position of Lawspeaker is of immense import, overseeing the passing of judgment from the laws of our hallowed Kanun. Serving as the highest authority of the laws of our land, it is a critical one from among the great tribe of the Reinmaren steps forth to assume said role, and rectify this gap. As such, the Grand Prince of Minitz announces the commencement of the Lawspeaker Election of 1929. Thus, the call goes out to all oathed members of the Reinmaren who are above the age of majority and in good standing within the realm to put forth their candidacy, should they wish it. The nomination process for such a prestigious and venerable position has been closed after the moot, and so the election period shall begin from this day up to three additional Saint’s Days in which the prospective Lawspeaker candidates shall campaign and make it known why they are the most worthy of the honour of election to this office. OOC: ELECTION PERIOD OPEN FROM 18/08/2023 TO 21/08/2023 The Lawspeaker is elected from amongst all tribesmen of Minitz, such are their powers in the execution of their office: He shall enjoy the privilege to nominate TWO individuals for the Lawspeaker elections after their own term, but he shall hold NO vote during such election. These nominations can change throughout the current Lawspeaker’s tenure. He shall hold a SINGLE vote in the election of the Warchief. He shall enjoy the privilege to call for the re-election of a Warchief after the absence of the current one for more than five years. He shall enjoy the privilege to call for a tribal Moot in order to convene the Reinmaren to discuss and vote upon amendments to the Kanun. The Lawspeaker being the only power within the Grand Principality able to do so barring the Grand Prince, and Erstkanzler of the realm. LAWSPEAKER NOMINEES: (i) Thegn Robert von Stroheim (ii) Theoderic von Theonus (iii) Ulrich von Minitz ELECTION PROCESS The Tribesmen of Minitz who so wish to cast their vote must do so via the following steps; I. The Tribesman shall then make their way to the Barracks within the Moot Hall of Kanunsberg, where they shall find the ballot chests and the names of the Nominees, as well as a barrel filled with Ballot Papers. II. The Tribesman shall then proceed to write the following upon the Ballot Paper: “I [Full Name] do so elect [Nominee Name] as the Lawspeaker of our tribe, which I serve.” - [Signature] OOC: Filling in the paper Spoiler You first take the paper in your hand and write /notes write (the line above). Example: It will now look like this: Then while still holding the paper in hand, do /notes sign to sign it with your Persona Name and IGN, it will now look like this: III. The Tribesman shall finally then place the Ballot Paper inside the appropriate box. If the name of the elected nominee is not inside the Nominees chest, the tribesman will be contacted to reaffirm their vote. May the nominee most fit and trusted by their tribe gain the privilege and duty of the Lawspeaker.
