Do you support this Idea?

  1. 1. Do you support a inter-racial war like the one shown below?

((Wars will come soon enough. We've got a ton of orcs with approved Villain Applications these days and more pending. Krugmar has a pretty loose set of laws, and we're almost always guilty of harboring fugitives. The Human and Dwarven governments are both in flux and the Ascended and Undead's days are numbered. Something's bound to happen. Right now I think most leaders are just playing it safe until the map change.

Also, most orcs tend to lean on Krug. The Ascended are shameful fighters and we don't have much faith in Aeriel these days. Some religious cults would be nice though.))

Fatwampa, I like you. You're gonna fit in nicely around here.

And yeah. Krug is our god. We pretty much ignore everyone else.

In-fact, I constantly remind humans how Krug was the only sibling with any balls. I try and say this to almost every Ascended I see; "Krug would beat Aerial any day."

And you want to be a shaman. Fail. We are allies with the elves because we BOTH have a deep respect for nature.

Personally I think GMs should run events from a DnD GM approach. Anyone that has ever GM'd a DnD Campaign knows its not for the GM to weigh a heavy hand on what is done. In fact, the GM is playing a game himself and the players are challenging him by solving situations with unique resolutions that the GM must then act and react upon.

The Wardens MAY have mentioned something about wishing they had an excuse to attack the dwarves. And the Orcs MAY just be low enough on resources to merit a raid or two on Nearby Dwarf settlements considering they're the closest non-allied race. And when their leader comes asking if we are looking to start a war, why should an Orc say no to a good chance to fight?

Pffft. Orcs are a War loving race. They live in a desert. A desert is Dead. And why must you tie what I want to be with this? Who said I would be a Nature loving Shaman? I could be a Battle Shaman. Bleh. Maybe not Elves, then, but Humans. I guess.

If you believe that, then to be honest, you don't understand Orc culture. Orcs may not like trees, but the ways of the desert are still natural.

Now that I approve of.

All we need is a reason and they'll be people lining up to kill each other.

I'm trying to get some ideas regarding the possible ways to start a war... Down at this link Here

If any of you guys wanna contribute, I know this thread seems to be taking a turn in this direction anyways. Still, just in case, it'd be a good place to keep track of ideas.

Shamanism about communing with the spirits of nature, Thral'mar. And the world is alive, even in a desert. Deserts are teeming with animals and plants that can only survive there.

I'd love racial wars, maybe the undead can ruin some wars too, interrupting the battle and causing us to fight against the undead. And when Magic comes out, wars will be so boss!

Honestly, I'd like to see the Undead just go away. We don't need undead for conflict. A few days (maybe a week) ago somebody came into our TS channel and basically tried to shoehorn the undead into all of our Nation Vs. Nation ideas. We were having a discussion about conflict and the undead, and this person refused to accept any ideas that didn't involve the undead. "We're creating racial tension to spark wars" "Oh! How about one of your orcs sells his soul to the undead so they infiltrate your hierarchy and corrupt you into going into conflict." I facepalmed so hard. I would like some conflicts that don't involve the undead, just so we can move away from the mentality that undead are needed to spark conflict.

Almost what you said. I think the undead should change. They should change from this ridiculously lame faction into an underground cult. The difference, you ask? They wouldn't go around attacking stuff (and being general dicks about it) but instead infiltrate society and try to turn the populace towards war and evil. The same goes for the Ascended except that instead of evil they try and spread peace and good.

That would leave the races to slaughter each other and that would also allow illegal fights between the two "cults" to occur. Any idea of how badass that'd be? Secret societies, permeating through the nations, both with ulterior motives, trying to turn the populace a certain way and trying to shank each other when the town guard has his back turned... Wow, I can't believe how incredible that sounds.

Just something to think about.

EDIT: Whoa, just thought about something. Maybe the undead shouldn't be evil at all. Maybe they should be a cult of worshipers that believe in a "pagan" set of gods. The ascended could then be the over zealous sect of believers trying to also spread their religion. They could then get into religious fights, breaking the law, and trying to secretly convert people.

Also, just a thought.

If a Race war would happen. I would want the Humans on the same side as the Orcs. Why? Because I would like to fight but not kill my Orc friends and fellow town members. Orcs and Elves? That's like the large kid who turned everyone upside down be friends with the smart quiet tall skinny kid who reads a lot and is on the track team. Weird huh?

Everyone, just shut up about us and the elves. Native and 'Groka are bros. Plus, nations in real life don't HAVE to be super alike to ally with each other. As long as they share a common interest, an alliance can be forged. In this case, we're right next to each other. Malinor doesn't want orcs raiding their lands. We don't want pointy ears encroaching on our desert. A common interest. So we ally and mind our boundaries around each other.

Pity if this happens.... then me and Urara will never be friends T_T

Only kidding I always wanted inter race tension.

O.o

Dang, no need to get defensive. :P

I kid, yeah you guys need to be more open minded when dealing with alliances. I personally like the alliance due to the tedious nature of it. One could aid the other in war and then betray them. So much delicious drama.... Where was I? Right, alliance. Anyway, I don't think we should do two things that I see a lot.

1) Using factors like cultures or physical similarities while determining allies. Why does it matter if they both have X or they both like Y? They both like nature. So? Big deal. Everybody likes iron but does that mean we should all get in a hippy drum circle and sing kumbaya?

2) Assuming alliances are permanent. A stupid assumption due to the whimsical nature of a nation. If the leaders are RPing correctly (they're not but whatever) there will be tons of diplomatic changes. Just like war, alliances end. And when I said bad RPing, I meant as a leader not as a player.

Ok so we just finished raiding Whisper Isles in full force with the Black Crosses. Now we are setting our sights (With Permission from Brett))

to capture Whisper for Krugmar and the Warlord. We defeated them and were merciless. They are now seeking aid from other towns in Oren and probably Kal'Urguan. I assume this can only lead to further conflicts as orcs expand their territories closer and closer to Al'Khazar with the recent capture of Kramore.

This sets up a few possibilities for an RP war.

Most obvious of which is that we are going to have a major battle over the Isles and try to capture it. Soon the banner or Krugmar will rest in their sands.
