THE BACKBONE OF THE Esrova Court, and Haense itself, is the people who serve it. The good men and women who operate as Teachers, Chefs, and Servants help to keep the inner courts running through their efforts. These include: educating the young children of the kingdom, preparing cultural dishes to ensure that none go hungry, and directly serving the distinguished nobility and royalty. Thus, it is crucial that the ranks of the servantry are properly staffed to ensure that the Esrova is able to function as efficiently as possible.

It is the duty of the ever-devoted Palace Custodian, an honourable position on Queen Amaya of Venzia’s Esrova Council currently occupied by Lady Liridona Amador, to administer the Esrova Servantry. This includes the conduction of candidate interviews, internal management of its operations and duties, and the appointment of worthy individuals to the Servantry aggregate. Therefore, the Custodian deems it necessary to reform the Palace Servantry and invite any willing citizens, or individuals situated abroad, to come forth and contact her if they have interest in pursuing employment in any of the valued positions detailed below.

A DEPICTION OF QUEEN AMAYA OF VENZIA WITH HER HANDMAIDENS

 

FOR YEARS, THE PRIVILEGE to serve as a handmaiden, or lady-in-waiting, has been a prestigious honor for the ladies of the court - in particular, to serve the Queen or Princess Royal in a more direct capacity. The duties of such a handmaiden include assisting their lady in their day to day lives, whether it be helping their lady dress for the day, or accompanying her at social events.

 

Handmaidens are often graduated wards of the Courts who have not been selected to join an Office of the Hauchkazya or other position of the Courts, but are still recognized by the Queen as having the desirable promise and potential to serve her closely. Handmaidens must be reliable, trustworthy individuals who are able to do their lady’s bidding with discretion and delicacy, if necessary.

A DEPICTION OF A GOVERNOR GIVING A LESSON TO A GROUP OF CHILDREN

 

THE EDUCATION OF THE Kingdom’s children is of the utmost importance, as they will be the ones who one day lead our lands and pass on their own wisdom to the future generations. Thus, to serve as a governor or governess within the more scholarly halls of the courts is a tremendous duty to uphold.

 

Governors and governesses must be highly educated and astutely intelligent, and they must harbour exceptional patience and a distinct willingness to learn. They are expected to be knowledgeable in a variety of desired fields, however many tutors also have a particular topic area that they specialise in and are most passionate about.

 

 

BEHAVIOR: It is crucial for the adolescents of the kingdom to be well-versed in manners and the cultural traditions of Haense. The Behaviour curriculum consists of basic manners such as greetings and addresses, how to conduct oneself in public, and how to act at events & celebrations.

 

HISTORY: Every child of Haense is expected to be knowledgeable in the history of their own Kingdom. They are expected to study the legacies of former monarchs and influential warriors, politicians, and courtiers. 

 

ARTS: In order to be well-rounded as adults, children are expected to have some knowledge of various artstyles. This may come in the form of traditional art, poetry & literature, music, or cultural dances.

 

LANGUAGE: Naturally, it is of the utmost importance that the children of Haense have correct and proper knowledge of the New Marian language. Lessons are held to improve the vocabulary and grammar of native speakers, as well as foreigners and immigrants wishing to learn the written language.

A DEPICTION OF A COUPLE  KITCHEN ATTENDANTS PREPARING A MEAL

 

THE KITCHEN STAFF OF the Esrova Prikaz have the important duty of preparing and serving all food to the Royal family and courtiers working within the palace. Furthermore, they are also tasked with preparing food for events such as banquets, festivals, and balls. The Kitchen staff are further saddled with ensuring that the vibrant and varied culture of Hanseti-Ruska is properly expressed in the delicious meals served to its people.

 

The ranks of the Kitchen Staff include a collection of expert chefs, bakers, and kitchen maids, all who are overseen by the accomplished Master of the Pantry, Derek Saltmen.

THE WORK OF THE Esrova Servantry is immense, and the Courts would fail to function without the devotion of its palace servants. Therefore, those who offer their dedicated services within the palace as maids, butlers, or the like will be entitled to a salary of 10 minae per Saint’s Week.

 

Similarly, for learned Governors and Governesses who take on the duty of educating the children of Haense, they shall also be entitled to an annual 10 minae salary, with an additional 5 minae for each public lesson hosted by a governor or governess.

 

If there are any members of the Haeseni citizenry, or civilians living in nations abroad, who are interested in joining the servantry, it is requested that they send a bird to the Palace Custodian, Lady Liridona Amador.
