PREAMBLE

 

In the spirit of unity and foresight, and with the blessings of Thalassa, Empress of the Deep and Mistress of the Storm, it is my solemn duty as the High Princess of Amathine to decree the establishment of a new office within our council: that of the Medin’sair

 

This office, vested with the authority to assist the Crown in the administration of the realm, shall serve as a bastion of pragmatism and foresight. Through the delegation of certain powers and obligations the governance of Amathine shall be fortified, allowing for the efficient execution of initiatives aimed at revitalizing our beloved country.

 

By helping the High Princess with certain administrative burdens, the establishment of the Medin’sair acknowledges the invaluable contributions of all who serve the Crown, while reaffirming the commitment of Amathine to embrace innovation in times of uncertainty. By sharing responsibilities, we strengthen our ability to respond effectively to the challenges and opportunities that lie before us, ensuring that the Crown of Amathine remains a beacon of prosperity and unity in our ever-changing world.

INDORII’OEM (Article I). On the office of Medin’sair

 

By this edict it is enacted that the office of Medin'sair shall accord its holder certain powers and obligations, as declared in trust to the Crown of Amathine. They are as follows: 

 

- The Duty to serve as the first minister of the Crown of Amathine, right hand and chief advisor of the sovereign and head of their government.

- The Duty to manage all matters of internal administration of the Crown of Amathine, ensuring the maintenance of good governance in the sovereign’s name.

- The Power to issue decrees from time to time, acting with discretion when such instruments of law are necessary to improve or reform the internal administration of the Crown of Amathine. 

- The Duty to manage the affairs of the sovereign’s councils, appointing and directing councilors to their duties in line with the policy demands of the day. 

- The Power to command the Crown of Amathine’s military forces as needed, with commission as the sovereign’s representative. 

- The Duty to ensure the continuing good relations of the Crown of Amathine with the foreign nations of the world.
- The Power to organize meetings with foreign dignitaries, and to periodically travel to foreign lands as a representative of the Crown of Amathine, acting as favored ambassador and negotiator.
- The Power to negotiate treaties on behalf of the Crown of Amathine, as the circumstances may demand.

- The Duty to provide for the welfare of Amathinean subjects who should travel abroad, negotiating peacefully with foreign states for their continued safety.
- The Power to assume the duties of the Crown of Amathine in the sovereign’s absence or incapacitation, meting out the Crown’s justice in a manner consistent with the law of the realm. 
- The Duty to preserve the lawful succession, independence and unity of the Crown of Amathine under any and all circumstances. 

 

INDORII’NIUT (Article II). On the Councils of Amathine

 

By this edict it is enacted that the office of Medin’sair shall preside over both the Crown Council and Domestic Council of Amathine, and shall be considered a councilor of both bodies. 

 

INDORII’HAEL (Article III). On appointment to the office of Medin’sair

INDORII’VAILU (Article IV). On precedence and inconsistencies

 

By this edict it is enacted that in the event of any inconsistencies between the provisions of this document and previously enacted laws or regulations, this edict shall take precedence to the extent of that inconsistency’s impact.
