A Call To Combat - Rah'mun Archery Contest

[!] A missive is sent across the lands, its message bound within a scroll of golden papyrus, decorated with the esteemed seal of Rahtuman, the 'R' emblem.

 

Behold, the day is at hand! Brothers and Sisters tighten your bow-strings, fix your gaze upon the heavens, and ready yourselves to release a volley of arrows; For a tournament of the Gods is upon us! Gather the steadiest hands from every corner of the realm, for they shall face an assessment of skill and prowess. All are invited, yet only a chosen few will emerge victorious in this contest. Only the keenest among you shall prevail, demonstrating not only to yourselves but to all in attendance that you stand as the most fearsome bowman in the entirety of Aveos. Victors shall be rewarded with a great prize, and offered a position within the Rah’mun military that, if taken, shall come with the bonus of a large one-time payment in Pure-Salt, but also rank.

 

The tournament itself will consist of 4 rounds, with each archer entrusted with three arrows at the onset of every round. As the contest progresses, the distance between the archers and their targets expands incrementally, and obstacles and distractions will become more prevalent. Every time an archer successfully hits the target in its center, a bulls-eye, their score will increase by 1. Ultimately, the participant boasting the highest tally of points at the end of the contest emerges victorious.

 

Should you be lucky enough to best all other competitors, the champions of the event will receive the following:

 

• Bottled potion of Hesthor - Toxic to Dark Spawn upon afflicting them with it.

• Custom Carved Blessed Bow - endowed with with the power of a Rah’mun God. 

• 100 mina prize

• A Tax-Free House in Rah’tuma for 3 Years (3 Weeks). House will be kept if victor decides to pledge themselves to the Pharaoh and convert to Rah’mun culture. 

 

• The Sun Beam - This sacred javelin is marked with a divine blessing. Its handle is intricately carved to resemble a lightning bolt. As it is wielded, it emanates a radiant glow akin to the golden hue of the Sun, exuding luminous rays shaped into celestial tendrils when it is thrown in the air.

• 50 mina prize

 

• Blasting potion and Cockatrice Breath potion.

• 25 mina

 

This contest will be held in one Spirit week (February 17th, Friday at 4:00 PM EST) in the city of Rah’tuma outside of Nor'asath at the training grounds. Prizes will be distributed upon completion of the event.
