THE FIRST LECTOR-BOO AUCTION

I, Ugokoyama Danzen, hereby declare the FIRST LECTOR-BOO AUCTION. It is a belief of mine that within weapon dwells a spirit, and that it ought be treated dearly as to foster blessed and bright Kani. Sitting upon such devices for eternity would only bring stagnation and shame to the relic, and thus it is more dear to pass it onto others so that they might make use of it more than I ever could.

ABOUT VENERABLE PACO

VENERABLE Father Paco de Mantequilla, Lector Explorator, was one of three co-founders of the Third Mission - The Flaming Covenant. Paco de Mantequilla swore an oath in Luciensburg alongside the other members of the Luciensburg Three, and vowed to defend the flock against Vampyres and the endless hordes of Rats. It was this Lector Cohort that later built its reputation in Almaris.

In his youth, Paco de Mantequilla was a pirate who fought in the Sutica Wars before joining the Owynist flock and engaging in a mission to Oyashima. It was there that he studied fossils and many other beasts. When my Father perished, he had taken myself - Danzen - to Gaekrin for Lector Training to protect me from Druidic and Immoral Teachings.

In his later years, Paco became a beloved figure within Du Loc and was credited for proselytizing Owyism, thus normalizing the rite. Despite his many fears, he also accrued many victories over Kegare - Untouchables. Perishing of natural causes, Lector-Explorator Paco was elevated to the status of VENERABLE within the Church of Canon. There is much more to say on Paco, but his Legend remains too vast for a brief summary.

It was his dream that I make for myself a family so that I might find a purpose beyond the cloth. In founding Koyo-Kuni alongside my brother Oijin, I believe I have found that “family”, and thus offer his Mace for auction so that any profit may be used to improve the lives of those within my country.

ABOUT THE WEAPON

VENERABLE Paco’s primary weapon of choice (barring the Chancleta) was “EL MACHO”, a Thanhic-Steel Mace that enabled him to mantle the archetypal Lector of Gaekrin. In using its ability to disrupt Mana, Lector Explorator Paco - despite being old and frail - was able to best the likes of Pale Knights, yurī Vampires, and many other creepy crawlies.

Bids start at 2,500 Mon. Trades are permitted, though the trade must first be appraised by myself, and a price thereof shall be attributed for the bidding. The auction shall last a single year, with the highest bidder claiming the relic. It is noted that I, Danzen, retain the right to ignore a bid in the event the individual is deemed a weirdo or a fraud.

QUENTIN BRAE -- that one depicted in such imagery above getting THWACKED by the Holy Chancleta -- was caught between a mix of DISGUST and ADMIRATION at the auctioning of a true relic. FATHER PACO was a great man, and SURELY his artifacts were worth more than 2,500 mina.

QUENTIN BRAE will now also auction the PEG-LEG of FATHER PACO -- bidding starting at 500 minas.

Ser Joakim Colborn reads over the auction, especially the description of the weapon. He offers forward his own bid - a trade and mina offering. "I offer a weapon recovered by an undead raid on Haense lands, with an inclusion of two thousand mina."

The woman they would know as Nalara stood in thought for a while. A mace for smacking was already her thing, but hers was hot. Now she had a chance to have a cold one! "I'll put in a bid for 2700 coins. No harm if I don't win, but this is an interesting opportunity to own a piece of history for hitting things."

"Unfortunately, there is ZERO desire for Blight-Steel, given it is a coward's metal!" exclaimed a Samurai who did not like the concept of poisons, perhaps a result of RAT INFESTATIONS.

Ser Joakim Colborn looks over the response. "Ah, so that is what it was. Nej matter then. I will bid 3,000 mina instead of the previous offer. Would nej want to gift my friends of Koyo-Kuni with a cowards' weapon I picked up off a walking corpse."

The mali'ame scratches her head and looks at her stash of mina. "3200 mina, let us keep the auction going until someone busts." Hopefully it would not be her to hit the shame of not being able to bid.
