DOCTRINE OF THE SCATTERED-SUN

IN PURSUANCE of national sovereignty and the well-being of the Ai-Zho and greater Farfolk, the Stratocracy has deemed it necessary to establish a foreign policy doctrine for the conflicts of today, and in anticipation for the conflicts of tomorrow.

 

Generation upon generation have since thrived and perished, and throughout the annals of time the dignity of the Farfolk had been besmirched and trampled upon. Without fail, Hakujin of the Empire have devised new and clever ways to trick the Farfolk into subservience. Be it relegation to ghettos or containment within the uncivilized wastes, those of the Farlands have seldom been afforded the opportunity for their culture to thrive. 

 

When bound by Feudal or Protectorate contract, the Farfolk have been ensnared and forced to adhere to the norms of a greater power, often manifesting as adherence to an imposed philosophy - such as canonist doctrine or imperial exceptionalism. Yet, invariably, such soft-power bindings are preceded by the threat of the blade, rather than the fervor of the heart. When the Farfolk express their individual liberty, those in power decry even the moral as “Heathens”, “Heretics”,  “Useless” and other profane slurs. In doing this, the Hakujin have only sought to tear down the spirit of our people.

 

So it is, Koyo-Kuni shall not have its citizens fall victim to trickery. No measure of honeyed words nor threat of death shall have our Stratocracy bow to the bidding of any but our Shugo. Those who waver are weak, and so it is that the indomitable will of our people be maintained at any cost. Death is but a facet of life, and to live as a slave is no life at all.

 

The Stratocracy further asserts that the Viceroyalty of Hyspia is undeserving of the title “Protector of the Farfolk”, for they themselves have abandoned the struggle befitting the name. To be Farfolk is to inherit the will of your ancestors, and to have the blood of Ōensama [Owyn] coursing through your veins. In adopting the tongue of the Haenseni, the Hyspia have conformed to Highlandic ways. In expelling the Qalasheen who they swore to protect, they have abandoned their charge. 

 

Throughout history, many transgressions against the Farfolks’ dignity have been witnessed:

 

• The degradation of Ishikawa Kais’s honor and the Yamamoto County by the Imperial State.

• The historical white-washing of Ōensama [Owyn] by the Hakujin.

• The historical erasure of the Caliphate’s contribution in the Ducal War.

• The Yopinawa Massacre perpetrated by the Principality of Savoy in the name of Canonism.

• The Crucifixion of Chen Yunya upon the Savoyard Bridge. 

• The eminent domain of Oyashi business by Norlandic banking ventures.

• The violation of Feudal Honor and Obligations to Tetsugawa by King Charles I Alstion.

• The attempted conquest of Mulnaar by the Viceroyalty of Hyspia.

• The expulsion of the Qalasheen during their cultural holiday by the Viceroyalty of Hyspia.
• The continued fetishization of our Women by Gaijin.

 

With nationalism coursing as a divine wind, the Koyo-Kuni assert to the world that the Land of the Scattered Sun shall defend the liberty and spirit of all moral Farlanders who would call us Nakama. The Land of the Scattered Sun pledges to pursue reparations for all such peoples, and to invigorate the spirit of the downtrodden. It is the Third Age - we deserve our reparations and the right to pursue our own destiny!

 

IN ADHERENCE to the Way of Heaven, The Koyo-Kuni Shugonate shall thus ascend as the divinely mandated DEFENDER OF THE FARFOLK. 

 

 

ASSUMING THIS MANDATE, The Land of the Scattered Sun shall thus only engage in Warfare which respect the tenets of BUDO and the WAY OF HEAVEN. 

 

Pursuant to these ideals, the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate shall react aggressively upon those who have levied harm unto our territory and citizenry, or who have transgressed upon the wayward Farlander. Further, the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate shall adhere to “Treaties of Spirit” whereby the Stratocracy shall always retain a defensive-pact posture towards friends, regardless of formal treaty expiration. The Koyo-Kuni Shugonate reserves the right to not defend those who have lapsed in moral adherence or who have been retaliated upon for martial transgression.

 

In the event any would request of the Koyo-Kuni the aid of our military for the purposes of offensive campaign, it is the posture of the Stratocracy that the Shugonate be compensated via mutually affirmed contract, and which stands only for the duration agreed upon. Through contract, the Koyo-Kuni shall raise and lend a mercenary warband to aid in the relevant campaign. The Koyo-Kuni Shugonate reserves the right to deny contracts which would infringe upon other friends, or which do not align with state interests.

 

It is time the Farlanders get PAID. Honeyed words and holy scrolls aren’t going to pay our bills - we’re about BUSINESS. No check? No fight. Overtime isn’t free. With a 9-5 War Posture, don’t bother us on our breaks. Koyo-Kuni shall stand on business. Ten toes on the GROUND type standing.
