TO RECLAIM A TITLE

To the Citizens of Ravenmire and realms of Aevos,

 

For years, many titles have gone stagnant, unutilized, or simply forgotten and abandoned. Yet, with many such titles there are legacies and stories that should not be so easily cast aside or forgotten. One such title, the Principality of Sedan, has as well gone unutilized and abandoned despite its history and people. The Order of Saint Alexander and the Holy Goat has been dissolved, an organization which once fought side-by-side with its fellow Canonists in the Serheim Crusade and against the anathema Philip III.

 

Furthermore, the culture of Sedan has been all but forgotten by the wider realm, yet carried on by those who still seek to restore their people to its former days. We of the True Faith do not intend to sit idly by as a people who once served so faithfully are forgotten to eternity.

 

THUS LET IT BE KNOWN,

 

The Holy Mother Church does hereby confer the title of the Principality of Sedan unto one Henry Arthur Haverlock, to be inherited by his chosen heirs. As the direct descendants of Blessed Frederick I of Sedan and the only ones of Sedanian heritage to remain among the flock of Aevos, and due to their continuous efforts in bringing forth the True Faith into the far north, it is the House of Haverlock who are hereby recognized as the inheritors of the Sedanian legacy. Furthermore, the now-Prince Henry is tasked directly by the Church of the True Faith with reestablishing the Order of Saint Alexander and the Holy Goat, so they may rise to the Church’s call to arms once more.
