◆ THE CHANCELLOR’S REPORT ◆

 

Va Birodeo Herzenav ag Edlervik,

It has been seven years since I took up the Golden Bulava, and still does our kingdom shift and change like the snow does in drifts. We have seen the loss of our Koenas, Juliya of Reinmar, and the increase of conflict with the shadow that dwells in Ailmere. We have seen the revitalization of the Brotherhood of Saint Karl and a strong surge in our foreign relations. All areas of our realm thrive despite these equal moments of hardship, yet even still there is much work to be done.

 

Our vassals struggle, an issue I wish to see rectified in the coming saint’s weeks. Be it with taxation or ensuring their next generations come to pass without issue, the nobility of Haense require a firmer and more attentive hand whilst the King remains in his mournful state. I pledge to see to this offer of aid personally.

 

I also wish to make clear my disapproval of the recent epidemic of wayward children that has seemingly overtaken the day-to-day activities of our land. More and more, I see the youth of this upcoming generation engaged in argument and rebellion whilst their parents and guardians are nowhere to be seen. This is unacceptable. As Palatine of the realm, my duty is to guide and defend the interests of our Crown–not care for the spawn of our nobles whilst they neglect their duties to those whom they have brought into the world. At this moment, I am aware of the effort by the Royal Duma to remedy this issue. Let this issue of the Palatial Post be my formal endorsement of this formed committee and its pursuit of correcting this growing predicament we find ourselves in.

 

My words of critique and concern ought not be met with anger or frustration, but to act as a reminder that there is still much that can be improved. We owe it to both our forefathers and those who shall inherit this great and most-noble of burdens. The heavy mantle of leadership that keeps our culture and people alive.

◆ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS ◆

 

THE DEATH OF THE KOENAS-CONSORT

 

 

The Royal House of Barbanov-Bihar mourns the loss of the Koenas-consort, Juliya of Reinmar. Born into the princely house of Barclay, she was betrothed to the then-Grand Prince of Kusoraev to further cement a bloodline bond between the two sovereign nations. She is mother to His Majesty’s five children and her legacy shall persist through their deeds and actions.

 

Her establishment of  the Hope Court, otherwise known as Ve Nadziesk Kort and her introduction of Reinmaren culture into the royal household stand as just a few of her many contributions to Haense’s great tapestry. In her honor, and for those who wish to pay their respects, a runestone has been constructed within the walls of Kasstel Lesanov–a symbol of her unique heritage and enduring presence.

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CAMP TATIYANA

 

 

Under the direction of the Lady Palatine, the Crown has put forth the resources to establish a camp upon the shores of Lake Georg. This encampment serves as our base of operations against the forces of Ailmere as we press further into that perilous region. 

We encourage all who share our righteous goal of vanquishing the Shadow to seek out our Lord Marshal, Ser Rickard Tosali-Ruthern, or Knight Paramount Ser Belisar Ruthern. They shall direct you in our operations against those who dwell within our current focus of conflict: Lumbridge.

THE SUMMIT AT LESANOV

 

 

In the last saint’s week, tensions between the elven nations of Haelun’or and Celia’nor had risen to new and potentially perilous heights. In the pursuit of peace and good faith, the Dual-Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska acted as intermediary and called forth both realms for a summit of peace. After hours of intense discussion and debate, an accord was struck–much to the great pride of our diligent Lady Emissar, who spearheaded this diplomatic effort.

◆ UPDATES ON THE AULIC COUNCIL ◆

 

AULIC APPOINTMENTS

 

 

The Crown has recently made a slew of Aulic Appointments, to ensure that the kingdom’s council is sat upon by those who are entirely dedicated and proven servants of the Haeseni people. 

 

Ser Rickard Tosali-Ruthern was recalled to the nation to serve as Lord Marshal, whilst Lady Mahaut van Leuven and Lord Alekszej Korvacz were named Grand Lady and Deputy Palatine, respectively. Thus far, they have already exceeded expectations in their various duties.

THE TREATY OF SANDSTORMS AND BLIZZARDS

 

 

The Lady Emissar and her diplomats have recently renewed our treaty with the Sovereignty of Hyspia, our longtime allies with whom we share a mutual and intertwined history. This alliance shall stand for a duration of twenty years, evidence of our continued friendship and common cause.

The Lord Speaker has published the transcript of the most recent session of our Royal Duma, transcribed by Lady Handler Sifra Korvacz. This particular session hosted a discussion on the recent epidemic of parentless children and their lack of routes to formal education.

THE PROTECTION OF CROWS

 

The Grand Lady, Mahaut van Leuven, has successfully passed her first bill through the Royal Duma. This act now enshrines into the Haurul Caezk that all manner of crow shall be protected by the laws of the realm, as sacred symbols of our royal family, our kingdom, and the Haeseni people.

PASSING THE TORCH; A NEW MARGRAVE OF KAZAN

 

 

The Margrave of Kazan, Osgood Colborn, has formally abdicated his titles and status as Patriarch to his cousin, Lord Davyd Edzar Colborn. A previous Deputy Palatine and steward of the realm, the new Margrave and Margravine-consort are offered the well-wishes of the Crown as they undertake the duties of representing the Scyfling people within the realm and upholding the laws of the land.

THE SPARE HEIR OF JEROVITZ

 

 

The Count & Countess of Jerovitz have announced that their eldest child, Lady Karlotta Kortrevich, has written to them of her intention to seek a life of exploration across Aevos. 

 

Thus, the young woman formally abdicated her station in favor of her younger brother and the Count’s second child, Lord Andrei Kortrevich. It is with great hope that the young lord can rise to this newfound burden he carries and lead the House of Kortrevich into its next generation.

THE ABDICATION OF KOVGRAD

 

The Baroness of Kovgrad, Rezalisa Kovachev, has formally abdicated her titles and status as Matriarch in favor of her eldest child, Lord Varon Kovachev. Seeking a life of freedom from the duties of her peerage, the Crown wishes Lady Rezalisa an existence free of burdens as she undertakes this next chapter.

 

The new Baron of Kovgrad is supported by his uncle, King Marius, and the Lady Palatine during this time of transition. It is their desire that he shall flourish, upholding the legacy his mother has left behind for him to maintain and improve upon.
