The House of Keen, steadfast guardians of Ivor, protectors of Mount Vindicta and its resplendent alpine realm, champions of cheese, yodeling, and all that is sanctified, hereby proclaim the initiation of a siege upon Enwerp and its stronghold, Cliffhaven. The indomitable Knights of Ivor, joined by the esteemed Order of the Grail and the noble brigades of the Ivöri people, have loosed their first warning shot—the roar of cannon fire surely heard in your gilded halls of indulgence.

Our demand is unequivocal:

As per our recent missive, Lorelei the Adulterer, alongside her accomplice and eloper, Goran Wick, must immediately present themselves before the Holy Church to undergo an ecclesiastical audit.

 

Should this command be defied, we proclaim resolutely that surrender is not our course. We will rain fire upon your fortress, turning your lofty towers into rubble and ash. We will unleash the roar of our cannons until the very earth beneath your feet trembles with the weight of our justice. We will pound your gates relentlessly, shattering stone and pride alike, until nothing remains of your sanctuary but the smoldering echoes of your defiance. We shall persevere in the righteous battle for God's justice until it is fully wrought. Until your citadel is engulfed in the flames of retribution and the skies above Cliffhaven are blackened with the smoke of your folly. 

 

Let it be known: we act under the banner of GOD's justice. Our deeds serve only to affirm the divine sovereignty of GOD over humanity. As vassals of the Holy Church, we stand against all sacrilegious acts that taint its sanctity. 

 

The righteous siege advances. The alpine winds of Mount Vindicta carry the cry of the faithful.

"No township is safe from those who profess to act on the will of God. The 'eartlands has lost its rustic jewel..." Robert Tiberius Alstion laments the wilfull landscaping of Enswerp into its sieged position. No doubt the animals would scare from the noise of the besieging soldiers and the chopped down trees. A situation that the township found itself in similar circumstances not too long ago, one that Robert disagreed with then as well.

As dusk approaches Vindacus sits upon the earthworks, gazing towards the keep of the enemy. His sabatons hangs over the edge of the palisade wall as he rests his back against the gun of Ivor. From the labor he committed, helping to set the trenches, he is coveted in mud from head to toe. He makes to take the first sip of his evening brew but as he reaches for it bits of mud flake off his armor and land within his cup. The pieces float in the brew for a moment, before they sink and dissolve...

 

"Bah... how foul..." He grimaces, before taking a mighty gulp, then gasping in shock...

"The faint taste of earthworms... a lovely aroma it is..."

Emil del Maravilla sat in a tree a fair distance from the fort and keep, looking through a spyglass at the unfolding conflict before sliding down and returning through the woods quietly home. "Hm, well this is an interesting turn of events. Wish i brought churros."

A Wick sits within a ruin on the outskirts of the county, roasting a rat upon a small campfire. Every now and then he overlooks the siegecamp with his seeing-glass, noticing more dirt missing from the earth, with poorly crafted spikes in its place. Signing the Husariya, he could only wait.

Ivan despises the unfaithful machinations of the Countess of Entswerp. However, what he despises even more are self-proclaimed "righteous" individuals like Atticus Keen who use the Holy Mother Church and the LORD's name to sow unneeded chaos within Church lands, rather than letting their Holy overlords handle the situation.

Both vassals should be culled for their insolence.
