A pillar of smoke rose from the docks of Koyo-Kuni as the festival in celebration of the nation's One Hundreth Anniversairy brought joy to the capital, barely visibly through the dense leaves of the giant cherry blossom trees

A man and his master had brought death onto the doorsteps of the man living there, the accursed Carbarum Crown that had once adorned his head cut from his skull, and his head severed from his body. Similarly to the King of the Kral'thor whom he had taken the crown from, Iori would find his end surrounded by enemies.

Had he not been knocked out, perhaps his last words would have been to Kato Oro, his adpotive cousins or his village. But such luxuries were not granted to Iori.

Behind, he would leave nothing but the ruins that had once been his home, and the trophies that he had collected there, free for his Clan to take.

The kappa sat in the shrine pond and went into deep thought. Another man died and hadn’t planned to. Why? Why must mortals just not be immortal? Was it the morality? Nothing but questions without solid answers flowed through his head like a river

News would quickly exchange hands in the Sakuragakure Shidai Monastery. Eventually, a troubled Kannushi would rush into Yano's dorm with a paper in hand. The Naishoten, who had been meditating, quickly took the letter away and sent the boy to rest. Her eyes scanned over the missive, and at the very moment the news hit her, she became a statue.

"Iori-san..." Spoke the yosei...

A mad wight of fluorescent green spins a Carbarum Crown on a phantasmal finger. The creature contemplated the item, its luster had caught it from the moment Iori was crowned, "WELL, WELL, WELL.."

Ryuma was shocked as he heard the news, with a brief scowl; though he responded calmly and collectedly.

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you're looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have mina. But what I do have, are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career; skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you return the crown and surrender to Koyo Kuni, that will be the end of it. I will not look for you. I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you. I will find you, and I will kill you."
