juliaINC 592 Share Posted February 9, 2025 THE BEGINNING OF THE FOURTH KRETZENFEST DAS VIERTE KRETZENFEST | THE FOURTH KRETZENFEST Issued by the Heather Court In the year of our Lord 2015 ÖHNE UND TÖCHTER VON REINMAR, TWO DECADES HAVE PASSED since the Reinmaren people last reveled in the grand festivities of Kretzenfest, held under the noble patronage of Princess Frederica and Princess Adalfriede. Now, after twenty years, our soil gives once more a harvest as bountiful as in days of old. Before the rivers freeze and the fields slumber beneath the winter's shroud, the Heather Court calls upon all to gather in joyous celebration—to honor another year, another triumph of toil, and the gifts bestowed upon us by the land. ITINERARY DIE ERNTEBALL | THE HARVEST BALL To commence this year’s grand festivities of Kretzenfest, citizens and esteemed guests alike are invited to partake in the cherished tradition of harvesting wheat in the hay race. Following this, the grand Harvest Ball shall begin, with lively music and games. He or she who toils with the greatest diligence and reaps the most sacks of golden grain shall be bestowed the honorable title of Hay Lord or Hay Lady, crowned with the Hay Crown as a symbol of their triumph for the day. DIE MARKTAG | THE MARKET DAY Within the heart of Kretzen a grand marketplace shall be constructed for traders and merchants across Aevos to display their wares, from livestock and weaponry to wool and silk. There shall be many games for the marketgoers to take part in. Among the many attractions, a towering haybale maze shall stand, daring the bold to find their way through its winding paths. There shall be a contest of craftsmanship, where artisans from across the continent may showcase their finest works, proving their mastery before the marketgoers who shall vote upon the matter. The prize shall be of fifty gold coins and a permanent discount on a stall in Kretzen. Should you wish to reserve a stall, send word to the Princess of Sutica and Minitz, or the Seneschal of the Heather Court stating the broad genre of your wares. DAS RUDOLFTOURNIER | THE RUDOLF TOURNEY At the culmination of the festivities, yet another blessing bestowed upon the Tribe by the Lord God shall be honored—the birth of the second son of Prince Erwin and Princess Wilhelmina, Rudolf Barclay. In his name, the Knights and warriors from across the realm shall mount their steeds and raise their lances in a grand tourney.
