An epiphyte scans over a letter he’d been given. He’d seen many like it, yet this one seemed to hit a little harder this time.

Rest in Peace Timothy, you shall be missed. While I didn't have characters that really knew him, I always enjoyed hearing about his story

Somewhere, in far off oceans and continents of lands unknown, this missive finds its way to a specific dark elf. She clutches the letter close, while tears pour down her cheeks. Someone whom she considered her brother is dead. And she was not there to help him- to save him.

In the town of Hyspia, a wood elf also finds the news. Kerina begins crying, falling to her knees as her tears hit the floorboards. Tim, the man who'd been there since she was a small and weak orphan. Her uncle.  Words do not describe her grief.

Walter read the missive with a saddened expression, as much as Timothy was his friend, he was also his valued patient. He could not help but feel guilty for not being there for his halfling friend to mend his injuries this time. "One by one, all the ones I cherished are meeting their end...I have to take more drastic measures..."

Meanwhile, the Uruk that had helped in the halfling's demise smirked at the missive, though his smirk was cut short with him wincing at the injury Timothy caused, he looked over to the counter to the eyepatch which he was now forced to wear, as the halfling was able to get one up on him by taking his eye. "How da zkah azh zquel waz ayble to hurt mi mozt kompared to da pinkehz agh treeuggerz."

Respect for the PK, Walter's gonna miss the brave halfling <3

Tonatiuh Salazar, one of the teens that had found the Halfling’s burnt corpse after what was likely a struggle, would take Timothy into the clinic and lay him down on a hospital bed. It was there he found not only letters, but also a will, on the late Halfling!

Upon this realization, Tonatiuh would take the letters to those in Hyspia, though it was a struggle to figure out who was who. He allowed someone closer to Timothy to distribute the rest.

Somewhere behind the walls of Cerulia’s fortified walls, the letter found it’s way to a particulair blue haired Elfesse. After reading through the letter, silence befell her and a lump felt stuck in her throat while she tightened her grip on the letter. Small drops formed on it as she just kept on staring at it in silence for a while.

“..n-nie again..”

Tiwari inhaled sharply, trying to compose herself, however she found that quite difficult in the given circumstances.

“R-rest well, Timothy, m’ son.. Go take care o’ Meira fer me in m’ stead in th’ great beyond.. alrigh’..?”

With those words muttered to herself, the elfesse tucked the letter away safely and let herself cry out her sorrow in peace. Later, she would have to seek out the last of her kin to share the news with her too..

The shorter druid had been tending to his chickens outside when he had overheard the Halflings discuss the news of Timothy's passing. He looked back to his birds, brows furrowed in thought as he scattered more seed for them to eat. Timothy had been one to help heal a friend of his and had asked for no payment- something most Shamans never did. A shame, as most Shamans annoyed him- but no, not Tim.

As he headed inside, a thin finger reached up to scratch at his freckled cheek while he scoured his cabinet for the best alcohol he had. Once the drink was secured, he'd pop the cap off, heading to the balcony and lifting the drink to the starry sky, "To the toast that never was, and to the bond that never bloomed." With that, he'd down the drink.

She was taking it easy, tending to the sheep, chickens, cows at the barn, visiting the mines once in a while, and relaxing with the sniffers once in a while just watching them when she opens the letter reading it in silence. She read it a second time as she stares at it. ". . ." Tears in her eyes "T-Tim... my brother....y-you're gone?" tears fell "Why..? Who killed you? You survived the attack of a mist hound long ago in Lurin... just to fall before someone else... why..." Not sure what to say and feeling sad she sat there crying while watching the sniffers. "You left us all to soon Tim, you will be missed..." She places it away in a pocket as she watches the sniffers not sure what to do.

A tired ker makes his way back home from a long journey, saddlebags full and jostling with items of intrigue he had picked up along the way. A passing shadow catches his attention, drawing his gaze upwards to a gliding crow, parchment attached to its leg.

Ill tidings. And a short farewell. Hands tremble with the news of the missive, hardly able to fold and slip it away. Another light snuffed. Another kind heart gone from Aevos, leaving it all the more cold.
