As she recovers, the younger Lorelei prepares a few letters to write. Her hand holds tightly onto the Lorraine around her neck as she prays, for her mother, herself, and the future of their house. A future she knows will be bright.

Joseph scoffed as he surveyed the missive's contents. "The Alban cause aligns with GOD's, as we march onto the battlefield for our Holy Mother Church. If she finds herself at odds with such, then I question what god she serves."

Within the humble home of a priest did news of the Countess' revocation of the Enswerp title make heed. In the midst of spooling together a line of wool, severing them to form wicks was Casimir wholly unable to continue as an uncertain future reared its head in the lowlands. A candle was lit, and a prayer murmured for the Lady Lorelai... followed then by an utterance of dissatisfaction.

"From the fire-blooded lands of the Harrenites, my brother did drop our family to the snake pits of Godwinites. I pray, beg, GOD protect the Lady Lorelai, and grant the Duke some humility."

“It seems that my fires did not catch all of them in Aaun,” The Archaengul pondered deeply his own cruel words. Perhaps, this was a silly joke.

Margarete sat within the Castle Morvelyn as she read the missive. "Perhaps the crippled beldame has already forgotten what truly  transpired. She was given land and title and expected to heed her call to arms, as is expected of any vassal. Does she not know our faire Prince fights for GOD? I understand the Countess was on pilgrimage, though has she forgotten her grand league of children are of fighting age?" She crumpled the missive in her grasp, casting it into the fireplace for kindling. "What a waste of good parchment." She continued her ranting to her chambermaid. "For a woman so pious and so mighty in her faith, I oft wonder why GOD forsakes her so. Perhaps she was truly an adulteress, and now suffers his wrath for her sins? If deadmen may speak, I'd ask the Late Roan what exactly led to his untimely death." Margarete paused if just for a moment. "'A House of GOD'? Perhaps she should fight in his name."

Lucrezia sighed, her heart feeling heavier than it typically had. "Perhaps we are all too consumed by our own selfish concerns... it should have never come to this." The eldest daughter of the Countess murmured, her voice heavy with something between resignation and scorn. "I do not blame my mother for her choice. What else was she to do? Yet, I wonder… did they truly believe she would fight in their place?" She let out a slow breath, her gaze distant. "How foolish we are, tearing at each other when the world itself is already on the brink. This is hardly the time for such petty disputes. And even if mother had wanted to fight… she never could. That burden now falls on those willing to lift a blade, to stain their hands for the sake of others." Her expression darkened for a moment, her voice lowering. "All that is left for me is to pray—for those who fight, for those who won’t return." A bitter smirk ghosted across her lips. "To fight over something so meaningless… perhaps we have not become stronger with time, only more blind."

Edward of Balamena lit a candle for the former Countess in prayer that she might some day be reconciled with GOD, for his will be carried out through this Holy War.

Arya couldn't help but laugh. She set the missive down, slowly sweeping the halls of her home. "What a waste of my breath. Only listening when it betrays her interest. When the arrogant speak, they do not hear anyone but themselves. May GOD guide us all."

"It seems our cousin line have forgotten that with authority comes a necessity to respect their subjects" Ophelia muttered as she stood by the forge, reading her mother's missive. "If they act with such idiocy then soon Alba will be a ghost town devoid of commerce or events"
