The Hooded Uruk Monk sat at the precipice. He looked below and saw the runners, they as per usual bore bad news.

Pausing in what seemed to be silent contemplation, the Uruk let the paper delivered to him drift in the wind; the Onii, his cousins who fought alongside him in two great wars that had seemingly been forgotten, were dead.

Those fine men were the first to breach the walls, the first to sign up on the roster… the Blue Onii signed up 5 times alone, despite being told every week he didn’t have to- but he did it because he knew what it was to be diligent.

Takemura breaches the Hellfort of Barnsley. Circa 23 Age of Dragons.

The former Rexkhan, Emperor of the Uruk, now lowly humble monk of Mount Tylos bid his cousins farewell, in what broken Westerner he understood he said: “Domo Arigato, Brudahs.”

He then resolved to commit Seppuku.

Suddenly, the miko saw a bright flash—perhaps a memory of a past vision, an alternate timeline. In an instant, her face was met with a splash of the hot boiling oil used during the making of the Kami Katsu.

The shrine maiden's screams of agony soon echoed through the Flower Capital...

Angelica felt the soul of her nephew disconnect from reality, their link forever seared. She looked up at the moon and wept -- it was beautifully shiny.

The moon looks down and cackles,

placing innocent souls in shackles.

Takemura broke my heart,

without me did he depart.

Now I feel stinging pain,

why can't I stop this rain???

The very fabric of the plane quivered at the site of Takemura and Bata’s death - from it, a meek hole tore open itself. A singular, otherworldly flower descended, the origin of such forever remaining unknown.

Gruul was preparing a new dish but while slicing down some freshly cooked beef he heard the news of his ops demise, the machete on his hand fallen down, before following that motion as well, Gruul fallen to his knees before yellling.

"NUUUUUUU..... WHO WILL BE GRUULZ OPZ NOW, WE NEVER HAD GRUB BATTLE"

Heartbroken from the death of the rival tavern master chef.

"Grub Core will honor lat, az he waz a hozh rivar"

The Shrine Mitsue reminisced in memories of the past involving the late Oni.. She thought back to when we was still young, fresh to the Monastery long before what it was today - and how Bata was the one to introduce to her the magic and connections to Kami that has been since past down to the current shrine staff of today. Without him, there would be no Kakuriyo Tsunagari - no forms of Diety magic within the shrine to connect them with the Kami.

And Takamura, it was just recently she began traveling with him again.. running around Aevos to help him sell a silly cursed Pumpkin, or running off to Numendil following Enrique whenever he was spotted in Koyo Kuni . .

Shibuya frowned heavily as she realized they were both truly gone, but she had a job to fulfill. She began to prepare their memorial stones at the cemetery, as well as the temporary shrines at the Monastery to remember them by - to collect items for their stones over the bridge.
