LAYMEN'S GUIDE TO THE AFTERLIVES

A more simplified and modern guide of afterlives based on Mordu's wonderful [The Mortal Fates, otherwise titled: 'A Comprehensive Guide to Dying'.].

 

This post aims to explain exactly where your character may go when you die using modern accepted lore or deeplore that not all are privy to. Naturally, some things from Mordu's post were trimmed away because they are not really relevant to modern LOTC. It is intentionally simplified for the average player who may not be inclined on this sort of stuff, not the lorehead.

 

 

Some facts to keep in mind for the laymen:

 

-This is NOT common knowledge. It is possible for a character to learn most of this via roleplay means, but by no means is it common knowledge.

 

-Humans will go to the Seven Skies no matter what, as long as their souls are untainted. (Ex. A human could spend their entire life killing babies but as long as they do not take up any dark or deific magics they will still go to the skies.)

 

-Souls do not go to the void, and if they find themselves there, they will immediately be shredded.

 

-Any descendant, so long as they are untainted, can go to the Stargush'Stroh so long as they are a spiritualist in life.

 

-Random souls may find themselves in Moz'Strimoza if you so decide that's an avenue you want for your character.

 

-Naturally, you are free to believe whatever you want IRP :).

Unsure how the new lore interacts with prior lore but the congregation of human souls in the seven skies could actually reject souls based on their acts on the "mortal" plane.
