Cheese 8899 Share Posted November 29, 2025 A very small Anastasia needed to have the decree read out by her parents. She didn't seem to know all the big words quite yet, and so she questioned, "What does a Solvis mean?" A pause, before she followed up, "...Can Nafis come with us?" ...On the other hand, an aged Esfir breathed a sigh. One half borne of relief, the other half of dread. "Forgive me, John," She prayed to her departed King, "...But I will protect your grandson in this. Your legacy will niet be forgotten. And Iohannis will be stronger than all those who have betrayed us. We will be better." And so, the stateswoman never able to find peace or retirement began the necessary paperwork and other preparations to solidify Basileus's new home at the Imperial Court.
Crevel 7561 Share Posted November 29, 2025 "Balance is restored. It did not bode well for virtuous men to have sworn fealty to the tribe that killed Horen - our forebear. It is good to see it rectified." Father Martin remarks on the recent state of affairs.
Javert 9633 Share Posted November 29, 2025 "Eh, good riddance. Dat savez me a trip tu da Pontiff tu verify Lotharia'z dissolution." Spoke the Rex of the Horde, who actually wasn't too mad about this. Matter of fact, he wasn't mad at all. "Dey've done my job fur me."
Mescaffier 6197 Share Posted November 29, 2025 Helena rolls in her - not a grave, for she was still alive - something equivalent. Her bed, perhaps. Ledicort would get an earful about this from his wife later that night. "The Balianoids!!!" "I know we're Balianese! But they're ... you know ..!"

Whether she wanted or not - thankfully she did - the young Prince of Ba'as would be right there with her. "I made a promise."
pkdon 2045 Share Posted November 29, 2025 The young princeling pressed the final stroke of his signature upon the parchment, it lifting with a certainty. His verdant hues traced those present; lords, knights, envoys, each witness to the occasion. He spoke then: "Here, before God, we prove that division was never destiny. The Holy Imperium guides all to salvation. Mankind united, at last." Prince Marcus Tiberias extended out his hand then, a firm shake exchanged between him and the Basileus. His attention set upon a map of the continent, lingering upon where Lotharia once was, and the orks that hosted them.
TaraJess 2853 Share Posted November 29, 2025 A soul did pass through Imperial streets, off to visit kin of other names now. How times have changed. Johanna did pause, upon the sight of a missive... "You would rather give yourself over to the Empire who wishes to eradicate you, who slew your grandfather, ousted your father, forced your true name to crawl into shadows... rather than have your home be temporarily in the hands of your people of Balianese blood... shame on you, child." "Iohannes the sellout." Spoiler deadass im actually very happy about this, I pray it puts an end to the absolutely batshit insane ooc response that I actually lost friends over, even though my character is a child who had nothing to do with this. Best of luck with Lotharia moving forward. edit too, shame on all yall for how you acted over this.
tilly 5115 Share Posted November 29, 2025 "This was what I expected, but I also hoped for something else?" Princess Mattea Asadha remarks, a muscle above her eye twitching. What does this now mean for his siblings? She wondered to herself as she cleaned her face before bed. Who all would join him? Did he expect to bring any of his old vassals or citizens? The woman lay awake that night, mind swirling with questions none but time could answer.
Nectorist 12871 Share Posted November 29, 2025 "Few will think much of this in the moment, I believe, for this is much of what it appears to be: another vassal among the great sea of banners,," the Prince of Myrine remarks to his wife, "but for the first time since the reign of Aurelius, humanity stands wholly united." @kuerbis
Yeetboy0206 1574 Share Posted November 29, 2025 In the afterlife, Estevot Heymor scream in sorrow as some of the remnants of the nation he served was now consumed by the ravenous maw of the Empire. For the first time, he feels regret for dying. Maddock Tam frowns as he reads this. “Then my choice is made for me. Whatever difficulties in loyalty I have are settled. The Duke of Lotharia is no more, and thus so is my allegiance to him. But I will NEVER serve the Empire and compromise my morals and faith to the tyranny of Tiberius. I pray for you, my former Duke, and hope you are able to find a way out peacefully, before you are forced to learn firsthand why your father and grandfather gave all that they had to keep their people safe from it’s power and influence.”
Spellblades 754 Share Posted November 29, 2025 A ghostly Ex-Balianese Regiment Soldier wandered the streets of Lotharia out of pure boredom before picking up the missive and throwing it with as much strength as a phantom could The missive was delivered to Aelyn Greye while he was meditating, a grin plastered across his face. "Does this mean I can call him an Imperial now?"
__Stal27 2148 Share Posted November 29, 2025 "Such is the way of Man. . . if naught else, I am pleased that you were able to heed what I might've had to say, Iohannis of Lotharia." Spoke, the Haraldr, as he looked upon the parchment, with a look simply undescribable.
ratlordmagic 1484 Share Posted November 29, 2025 “I’m perfectly fine with this.” Miroslaw Jazlowiecki remarked. “Lotharia is not its title, it is the people, who will go where they will. If the Empire wants the titles they are welcome to them.”
Digit___ 1226 Share Posted November 29, 2025 A Highlander, a friend of the now-Baron of Solvis and Cascanova, would read over the contract from his foothold in the south of the continent. Ocean hues scanned the parchment making sense of such. "A dangerous gambit, m' friend, yet one that ye've been forced t' take." Ser Aviel murmured to himself, "And one that shows were the Imperials set their eyes next." He added; thus the missive would be folded neatly and placed in his satchel.
