his parchment ratifies the vassalization of House Basileus under the Empire of Man.

 

☩ ARTICLE I | RECOGNITIO IMPERIALIS

The House of Basileus and the Lotharian diaspora affirm complete recognition of the Imperial state, as preserved by His Majesty Tiberias I of House Horen, as the protector of all men and the king of kings. They shall therefore, in perpetuity, recognize all holdings and claims of the Imperial crown as legitimate, absolute, and binding.

 

☩ ARTICLE II | DEFENSIO BASILI

As a vassal of the Emperor of Man, the Holy Imperium shall protect the House of Basileus from violent usurpation and shall intervene on the behalf of Iohannis in any disputes regarding titles currently or previously held by the defunct Grand Duchy of Lotharia. The Empire of Man shall be able to unilaterally and immediately withdraw military support in the event of any changing circumstances with the House of Basileus or those detailed in Article VI.

 

☩ ARTICLE III | SERVITUTIS IMPERIALIS

Iohannis and the House of Basileus shall swear fealty to the Emperor of Man, his successors, and the House of Horen, taking upon themselves all oaths of vassalage, tribute, war contribution, and any further arrangements in a letters patent released by the Imperial Crown at its leisure.
 

☩ ARTICLE IV | DIASPORA RELINQUIT

Upon the promulgation of this decree the House of Basileus and the people of the defunct Grand Duchy of Lotharia shall depart the heretical orcish deserts to settle themselves in a section of the imperial capital, Rittersberg, until such time the Crown believes the House capable of faithfully holding land outside Our direct purview.
 

☩ ARTICLE V | TITULI LOTHARIAE

The House of Basileus shall, upon their vassalage to the Empire of Man, forfeit, directly to the Imperial Crown, all titles listed henceforth: The Grand Duchy of Lotharia, Principality of Monterosa, Duchy of Atrus, the Baronies of Tuvia and Cadiz, and the Protectorship of the South. These titles shall be claimed by the Imperial Crown then placed into abeyance.

 

The House of Basileus shall be enfeoffed by His Imperial Majesty via letters patent that recognize Iohannis as the Baron of Cascanova, and Lord of Brecci, as well as any other titles provided by the letters patent detailed in Article II. Anastasia Casimira, daughter and heir to Iohannis, shall be recognized as the sole holder of the titular Barony of Solvis.

 

☩ ARTICLE VI | CONTRIBUTIO VASSALLI

In the coming conflicts, rather in defense of House Basileus’ former or current titles, or in the expansion or defense of the imperial realm, the House Basileus shall be required to provide ample levies to tangibly demonstrate their loyalty to the Empire they forsook and commitment to a united humanity.

 

If the Imperial Crown deems their participation insufficient, the above articles are to be null and void, and all titles, lands, honors, or duties issued to the House of Basileus shall be retracted and placed under Imperial control.

Prince Marcus Tiberias extended out his hand then, a firm shake exchanged between him and the Basileus. His attention set upon a map of the continent, lingering upon where Lotharia once was, and the orks that hosted them.
