A Step Back

A Letter & Disapproving of Misinformation

 

Greetings, Citizens of Azuras. I have decided to write once more to attempt to clear up some misdeeds of both sides of the coin. A few things have gone through the ears of descendent and non-descendent for a while regarding the attacks on the Elves, Orcs and Dwarves and one of the most common was a genocide. Let this be known:

 

There was no mass killing of children in holes.

There was no mass killing of defenseless women and children.

The information I had gotten was often spread through mouth, and I, as everyone else, took it as fact. It was not uncommon to believe that the Empire, an old staple of tyranny, would do such a thing.

 

However, it doesn't mean there wasn't death. Yes, some elves and a few dwarves were killed outside of the city of the Empire, and the Empire still is slithering it's way into finding a way around the word "Genocide" but yet they have been killing regardless.

 

I do not believe the Empire is innocent, but neither are the Orcs. The spread of fear from the allies on both sides, the spread of misinformation and propaganda is quite silly. I even took part, as I believed the pen is mightier than the sword. Yet, I also was bamboozled.

 

To stop this, I propose a messenger alliance.

 

Through people uninterested in political talks or the way of war, the documentation of everything from payments in war to whom joins in will assist in rewriting information that has made it's way through the ear. Although, it won't be perfect, it will be a good way to stop misinformation on both sides of the war to not be misled. If anyone is interested, contact my signature below.
