"Funny... I never see them do much of anything..."

The Man sighed, tossing aside the missive.

Standing upon the grass of the Seiryu Compound, blessed by the thunderous boom of Goro-Goro, the Toad Onna-Musha Seiryu Hina contemplates the consequences of the upcoming war. She, of course, is most excited for the many hou-zi pelts it will bring her clan.

"Even death has benefits. It can fertilize the ground," she quoted Uncle O, turning  to her children standing close to her.

A Sorvian obsessively went through the weapons of the Marines, cleaning each with great care. “Through Discipline, Victory — HAGANEKI BANZAI!”

Maddock Tam surveys the fleet of the Horde. "Oath-breakers." He spits. "Can't even truly honor a defensive pact without making it an offensive war. Very well then. You're first."

Slorbin gets this missive mixed up with the other call to arms missive. He sends a set of wooden prosthetics to Kurai-Kuni and a large number of weapons to the middle of the evil demon-woods for @MsLinni.

Spoiler

The so-called Pink Witch, or Cruel Leader, as some had begun to name her, sat atop the mountain where the oceans breeze brushed softly against her skin. It was a rare moment of stillness, shared only with her students, the Warrior of Fate, and her Spirit Guardian. @PolarLoLs @Adelemphii

“It seems we were right once more,” she murmured. “Honor is such an abstract thing… often used to chain oneself in the name of tyranny and bloodshed.”

The Geisha Of Liberation reflected on all that had led her here. The words of Zue( @Hawkeye_Gough) echoed in her thoughts, that she was never meant for war. The voices of her former brothers and sisters followed close behind. She had not been born for battle, and yet, there was something intoxicating in fighting for freedom, to spread this STRIFE. She had hoped Rahar, the tiger mani, would bless her path to rebel and win.

Slowly, her finger lifted, pointing toward the horizon where the storm-wreathed island loomed. “I understand now,” she said quietly. “Answer me, my students. Tell me, if I'm mistaken.” Her expression shifted into a solemn frown, shadowing features once gentle, anger and serenity intertwined, violence and peace coexisting in ever-chaotic balance. It was this contradiction that forged her clarity, her resolve.

"If we destroy our enemies over there." Her pointing intensified as if she could feel the presence of Storm Island and those who lived in it. "Will we finally be free... to live in peace?"

And so she prepared for war. It was never a path she wished to walk and fight those of Kurai-Kuni, yet she felt driven onto it, pulled toward bloodshed that promised only further ruin.

Still, deep within, she understood that she had to let go of her past ties. Only by doing so could she ensure that those who followed her would have a tomorrow.

Tiberias would shed a single, solemn tear for the beauty that was the old kinship between the Oyashi and the Empire. From an orphan of Winburgh, to Humanity's Emperor - a people that stood beside him then, stood beside Hadrian now. "It is a thing of beauty, Oijin. Thank you."

"You fools, the empire will betray the shugonate. It is clear the samurai and the shugo are no grand strategists. They would fight alongside the same murderers who slaughter my people. Such a betrayal i will not forgive."

a horned and scarred druid read the missive with utter disgust. He would come to arms, but not for any shugo nor emperor.

The delinquent sat by, that fiery gaze watched over the ocean.. Many missives laid out before him atop that peak,

His eyes never averted, always focused at that below the peak.. His teachers words met him like the breeze

“Honor is false, conquer is inherited.. We can’t know what fate holds ‘till we get there”

He allowed the missives to blow by and soon prepped for war himself, Every tendril, fiber of his being

Was prepped for such, unlike his peers he was born to push this wheel forth

“Make sure you learn from this..” he said to them both “Make sure from their ashes we rise somethin’ better”
