On Azuras Mining

Since the start of Azruas, resource progression has felt significantly more restrictive than last map. Nation mines initially helped, but they were nerfed within days, and the overall result is that gathering basic resources now requires substantially more time for substantially less return.

During Aevos, one of the most common player complaints was the amount of time required to grind resources. While it wasn’t ideal, it remained manageable. The current system appears to move in the opposite direction, particularly with cooldowns and yield amount. Aevos mining cooldowns were roughly 15 minutes, which allowed steady progress. The current mining cooldown of 8 hours dramatically limits consistent yields and makes resource progression heavily dependent on long grind sessions or constant multi-nation node routes.

Additionally, food now requires frequent ongoing farming rather than allowing meaningful stockpiling. This adds a second recurring grind on top of resource gathering, increasing overall maintenance time and creating a stronger burnout loop. I can’t see how in the slightest that this assists with rp, and hate to break your hearts, no one is going to sell bread or wheat at a stall.

imagine a game where you could dig underground and mine ores directly instead of running in circles pinging indestructible nodes like some shitty budget MMO

could we get the swedes to look into this

I agree about the resources thing. if someone was coming back after a long time away, it would seem like resources are now worth their weight in gold based on the amount of time it takes to get them.
But i DO kinda love the food system, that one actually makes a lot of sense, particularly for the vibe lotc is trying to create.

It’d be cool if we could have cellars to slow food decay like in vintage story

I don't know why people keep saying 8 hours but I shall say this so less people are confused. It's 6 hours and has been 6 hours for as long as I can remember on Azuras

i fully disagree, the national mines really did do the trick, however their issue is plain and simple, them getting locked off and with the food? dont you just live of voting bread?

The old resource collection methods (the resource pits and one big, regenerating mine) is genuinely much better. But LOTC wanted more advanced systems, and so they're all now grossly overcomplicated. I used to love [normal] fishing, but since it was replaced, I've touched the pluggin twice, maybe. It's a waste of times for the players & the devs coding this. Original plugins they've added (the artist one, unique terrain, stars, etc) are fun! But why even host LOTC on Minecraft if they're dead set on replacing all of the core aspects of Minecraft?

idk when the server first opened i spent hours running routes for resources and herbs but now theres more mina in circulation, i just buy it?

i dont personally think its that bad, just outsource it if you need more. people genuinely do not care about how long it takes and will do it regardless. pay them some mina.

also ive never had food expire on me personally.

yes grinding is bad for rp but farmers and people who dont care about grinding resources. i can guarentee there will be players willing to do it for a bit of mina.
