You are not required to play this server. 13 is the youngest you can play, but you can be way older. It doesn't matter if you are 19, 25, or whatever, what matters is if you are treating a player base like ass.

 

Werew0lf is an adult, but he genuinely is not that bad of a guy, even if European. He does troll, yes, he sometimes can't shut up, but so does a lot of people. I am not one to defend Werew0lf, has he has made mistakes a lot but one thing has to be clear to this player base.

No one will remember your legacy years from now, the server might be dead and buried by the time the poster is in their 20s, and living life. The point I'm making is that even though Werew0lf is leading a IRP crusade, it will end and then another person a few years later will do it again. Werew0lf is not, and will not be the only person who will do this but this is entirely a ROLEPLAY thing. 

 

Werew0lf isn't a bad guy for doing conflict, what he is bad for is his minor toxicity and the inconsistency staff have with detecting toxicity. Take my advice, stop taking this server as serious, as I was just like this before. I might have some history on this server but that doesn't mean anyone's opinion is invalid, as it is a MINECRAFT server.

Yes, it’s a Minecraft roleplay server. That doesn’t suddenly remove standards of conduct. The Community Guidelines weren’t written for real-life governments. They were written for this exact space. And yes, no one is required to play here. That applies both ways. No one is required to lead the largest realm either. The reason expectations are higher isn’t because “staff = robot.” It’s because influence matters. When you are staff, a realm leader and one of the most established figures on the server, your tone carries weight. Whether you want it to or not.

 

Personally I don't know who Wolfy-D is, but when I see Werew0lf being staff, realm leader and the most reputable person EVER on the forums respond with "shut up", then that pisses me off a little bit. Because as much as I don't really care about the details of the drama, the way that people act (especially someone as influential as Werew0lf) reflects on the overall community as a whole.

I'm fairly sure I was arguing with mostly adults because teenagers don't usually know about the history of Zimbabwe unless they're from there, though probably some kids poked their opinion in there somewhere, and I never once stooped to trolling or insulting people. It was stupid to argue on the Internet with strangers, but my conduct remained polite.

 

Maybe when I'm close to forty I'll stop arguing with strangers on the Internet, and maybe when you're close to thirty you'll stop trolling people as a default response.

But as a nation leader, your OOC conduct sets the tone whether you like it or not. If you can’t separate personal frustration from how you represent your nation, that’s a problem.

 

Leadership means holding yourself to a higher standard (in this case just being the normal standard in the community guidelines), and not matching the lowest one. It sucks sometimes, but it is what it is.
