Frederick Euler remained afterwards at the empty keep, gazing at the sky for hours. The clouds floated so slowly, and the Turtle Knight's thoughts were slower still. What was there to say, what was there to think after such a campaign?

Fortunately, he could take his time. So he lay there, watching the color in the sky shift.

The Frost Dwarf hears of the fall of Kal'Baraz while traversing the roads of what once was the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Though his grudge was not yet settled, and with the fall of the Dwarven Capital, those who he seeked to settle the grudges with would be more splintered than before.

"Humanity rules supreme, the Empire of Man- The Empire of Azuras -stands without true opposition now."

Said Adûnakhôr as he hoisted the banner of Idunia atop the stairs of the throne of Urguan.

The Emperor's Dragon sat within the tavern, the missive held in his hand as his gaze traced the ink in silence. His name was there.

"After all these years, it is over"

For a moment longer he stared, before folding the missive once and setting it down beside his mug. His gaze drifted toward the hearth, firelight flickering across his features.

"Long live the Empire"

"What's done is done," Skull Admiral Kato Ena spoke after diplomacy fell through with a surrendering dwarf when the forces of Kurai-Kuni had returned to Raijima (Storm Island). It had been many treacherous years watching dwarven honor reach new lows from his perspective. Dishonor to Lady Yamatai. The murder of the twelve year old Tanoshiling. The attempted banditry from aligned forces to Urguan. People would weep why the Oyashi and Won-in chose to side with those who had always gave them respect and honored promises made. The Dwarven people were once renowned for their honor. At last though when on the brink of annihilation a peoples' true colors always come to light as though the sun shined through the caverns where the troglodytes dwelled. How deep did Ulfar Starbreaker go?

The Oyashiman military officer and samurai felt no guilt by the end of the long campaign save for the spare few dwarves that had retained their honor or avoided the conflict altogether. it was a long time coming.

The Shugo fell back onto his litter, the exertions of the day having taken their toll upon the Samurai a century old. His dark gauntlet sizzled, burning the white flames of his patron. A thorough and complete war, one that was few and far between. The tether of his soul upon his body grew weak, it would not be long before it was gone completely. In this victory, Tsukinomiya Honda could bask in the accomplishment if only for a while longer yet.

Upon a high bank stood a Norn, the sea stretched far beyond his sight. At his side lingered a boy, quiet beneath the hounds of that same wind.

Behind them laid the siege works of Urguan and the work of men. Before them laid only the peace of wind and water.

From the times of Conan to Haakon, such had always been the way of their kin. War would remain behind, the horizon casted ahead.

And so they stood, a moment longer, beside one another, watching as that tide would roll in.

"Viel Feind, Viel Ehr!"

The aged Reinmaren Templar bellowed as he raised the ladders, leading the charge on the left flank with several others, cutting through a plethora of dwarves before scaling yet another ladder and crashing into the fray with the vanguard of the main brawl

From the captain’s cabin of his ship, The Menagerie, Aviel Roy read of the fall of Kal’Baraz and the Grand Kingdom itself.

“Let the Dragon have its rest, for its flames’ll burn the banners of Krugmar next.” The Helfgott Patriarch thought for a long moment as he filed the triumph’s missive away in a drawer of his desk and looked over what notes he had for one of the tasks given to him by the High Priest. A decision soon made as Aviel rose from his chair; seeking to sharpen his weapons and maintain his armor.

Arthur Littlewood made his destructive debut with his leal cannon "Knox" which served him well in the destruction of enemy ballistae. As the upper wall above the main gate began to collapse, he would let out a boisterous quip, "Ye mess with tha best, ye go down with tha rest. Bullseye!"

The halfling cannoneer joins the breach where he carries his weefolk spirit into this final assault. With his specially commissioned longsword appropriate to his size, he would wreak havoc at the dwarves who carried a similar stature to himself. One dead. Two dead. His erratic flurry with his longsword held firm in his hands like a vice proved to be a punishing scourge to any dwarf that had allowed themselves to be a target for too long.

The battle drew to a close and Arthur's shoulders hung as his muscles began to finally be beat down by the plate that he was wearing. He found his way to a feast hall that had been largely untouched by the battle. He tosses his helmet to the side as he approaches the short throne of the hall. While it was less fancy than the throne room, it seemed likely to have been made to seat any dwarf lucky enough to have been coronated as king. Arthur, alone in the room, sits on the grand seat. A feeling of pride washes over him as he looks over the hall. He sits there for a while, soaking in what it might feel like to be a king. It felt powerful. He felt... big. A moment of realisation set in that he likely fell prey to the same sense of grandiosity that fueled dwarven arrogance and he took off from the seat, going to find the rest of his comrades and soak in the rest of victory like a good soldier should.

Ser Boromir scarcely spared the fallen city a second glance. He left the ruin of Urguan behind without pause, jaw set tight and stride steady, his thoughts already turning to the west -- to the Horde where his blade would soon find its true work.

Sir Antonius Helane stood unarmored amidst the battlefield, for he knew the first round of artillery had already secured a total Imperial victory.

Sir Therin wiped the ash and blood from his suit of armor saying quietly to himself "It's finally over" and made his way to check on each of his soldiers.

Once he was done, he'd make his way to the lake at the aldtree and quietly reflected on what was likely his final battle.

Wasabi emerges from the deep-hole of the chibi, caked with crimson humors rendered by dwarf and gaijin alike. His mind dwelled only upon completing his tour, and to be free of conscription in the coming years. Yet still he worried that the Gonijin assault would drag on, and perpetuate his enslavement.

"Do ye think they left any cool stuff behind?"
