It’s that time again! With the arrival of 1.21.11 formally onto Lord Of The Craft, it’s time for another new bean pack edition. Thank you @Customablefor helping with this modpack edition and aiding me with collecting the mods for this pack, as well as making a small surprise for you all and @molly molly mollyfor helping me find a replacement for Better Third Person that wasn't janky! Also, you don’t have to use the vanilla launcher for this and keep in mind you can use Modrinth’s own one, as it should work just as well for most of these mods.

Please note that not all mods will work with each other. We will provide notes under the affected mod to indicate what mods don't work together.

If you see anything that needs to be added or fixed, hit me up on Discord at smol_bean and I’ll add it in.image.png

How To Install Fabric:

This is how to install Fabric, which is shown below in our required mod section. This information is cited from here.

1. Download the Fabric Installer

By using the link below, you can download the fabric installer.

https://fabricmc.net/use/installer/

If you use Windows, download the .exe version (Download For Windows), because it doesn't require Java to be installed on your system. It instead uses Java that came with the official launcher.

For macOS and Linux, you should download the .jar version. Sometimes, you need to install Java before this step.

2. Run the Fabric Installer

Once you've opened the installer, you should see a screen like this:

image.png

To install Fabric, simply choose your game version from the dropdown, make sure it's 1.21.11, and click Install.

Ensure that 'Create Profile' is selected.

3. You're Done!

Once the installer has finished, you can open the Minecraft Launcher and select the Fabric profile from the dropdown in the bottom left corner and press Play!

If troubleshooting is needed, refer to the link from which this information is sourced for guidance on how to troubleshoot.

How To Install Mods Via Fabric:

This is how to install Fabric mods, which is the type of mod we have on the modpack. This information is cited from here.

1. Download The Mod

The majority of mods require Fabric API as well, which can be downloaded from Modrinth, CurseForge or below from the required section of our mod list.

When downloading the mods, ensure that:

  • They work on the version of Minecraft you want to play on. A mod that works on version 1.20, for example, might not work on version 1.20.2.
  • They are for Fabric and not another mod loader.
  • Furthermore, they are for the correct edition of Minecraft (Java Edition).

2. Move The Mod To The Mods Folder.

The mods folder can be found in the following locations for each operating system.

You can usually paste these paths into the address bar of your file explorer to quickly navigate to the folder.

Windows:

%appdata%\.minecraft\mods

MacOS:

~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods

Linux:

~/.minecraft/mods

Once you've found the mods folder, you can move the mod .jar files into it.

3. You’re Done!

Once you've moved the mods into the mods folder, you can open the Minecraft Launcher and select the Fabric profile from the dropdown in the bottom left corner and press play!

If there is any troubleshooting that needs to be done, refer to the link where this information is from on how to troubleshoot.

image.png

When it comes to downloading the modpack, we’ve split it into separate folders, each containing a different number of mods. This way, players can choose the setup that best matches their computer’s performance, so even the most potato PCs will be able to run at least some of the mods.

We have also created a list of shaders and resources, including recommended resource packs guaranteed to work well with these mods, available at the Google Drive link provided. Make sure to also check the required mods section on how to set up the Fancy Menu Surprise.

If you are interested in what is in each Mod Pack Folder in detail, please take a look below.

Required Mods
(Fabric)

Fabric API

This is the base mod for the modpack and must be installed for any mods below to work. The way to download Fabric is noted above.

https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api/versions

Sodium

Sodium is a powerful rendering engine and optimisation mod for Minecraft 1.16+, which greatly improves performance and graphical quality. It boasts wide compatibility with the Fabric mod ecosystem when compared to other rendering-focused mods, and it does so without compromising on how the game looks, giving you that authentic block game feel.

https://modrinth.com/mod/sodium/versions

Mod Menu

Mod Menu lets you view the mods you have installed and, if supported by the mod, enables quick and easy access to the mod's config screens. It is not strictly required, but it is great to help you easily manage all the mods you will be using for the server.

https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api/versions

Cloth Config API

This mod is a config screen api. A few mods on the list below use it as a dependent, such as Bobby and so on.

https://modrinth.com/mod/cloth-config/versions

MaLiLib

This mod is a dependency for some of the mods in the modpack below, such as AdvancedChat.

https://modrinth.com/mod/malilib/versions

Searchables

Searchables is a library mod that adds helper methods that allow for searching and filtering elements based on components (shape: square, colour: red), as well as offering built-in auto-complete functionality.

https://modrinth.com/mod/searchables/versions

Fancy Menu

FancyMenu allows you to personalise Minecraft's menus in a user-friendly way.

[!] When utilised with Skin Shuffle + Figura together, entities on the main menu will not display, nor will the entities when adding skins; both work within the actual gameplay itself [!]

https://modrinth.com/mod/searchables/versions

The guide for setting up Fancy Menu Surprise can be found below:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-pRcYmRE7IKsHcGOBntt8OscrBbYlLVb?usp=sharing

Forge Config Api Port

This is a modding library for mod developers that provides both NeoForge's & Forge's whole config system to other modding ecosystems.

https://modrinth.com/mod/forge-config-api-port/versions

Fabric Language Kotlin

This is a mod that enables usage of the Kotlin programming language for Fabric mods.

https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-language-kotlin/versions

Chat Focused Mods
(Fabric)

[!] When downloading the following Advanced Chat Mods, ensure that you choose the Jar file that does not include 'sources' in its name. We are also aware of the issue of unread message numbers not showing up correctly. We have made a bug report and hope it will be resolved soon. Also, it doesn't prompt links when you click on them, so keep that in mind [!]

Advanced Chat Mods

AdvancedChatCore ((Base Mod))  -
This mod primarily adds internal features used by other modules, filters out profanity from chat, and adds the ability to display the time that a message was sent.

https://github.com/ThePro1604/AdvancedChatCore-Update

AdvancedChatHUD -
This mod is an overhaul of the Minecraft chat HUD, adding many new features.

https://github.com/ThePro1604/AdvancedChatHUD-Update

AdvancedChat Guide

This Guide will go over the basics of setting up AdvancedChat tabs for filtering and separating what's important to you. The start of this guide will provide some basic imports for you to use off the bat so you don’t have to stress about getting the correct setups on your own accord!

OOC

{"name":"OOC","order":0,"startingMessage":"","forward":false,"abbreviation":"OOC","mainColor":"#643F3F3F","borderColor":"#B4000000","innerColor":"#64000000","showUnread":false,"match":[{"pattern":"[OOC]","findtype":"literal"},{"pattern":"^Saved screenshot as .*\\.png","findtype":"regex"}],"uuid":"3c6bffe2-c4e4-498a-a951-be6bed49f01f"}

WOOC - QOOC - LOOC - SOOC

{"name":"+OOC","order":0,"startingMessage":"","forward":false,"abbreviation":"+OOC","mainColor":"#643F3F3F","borderColor":"#B4000000","innerColor":"#64000000","showUnread":false,"match":[{"pattern":"[LOOC]","findtype":"literal"},{"pattern":"[QOOC]","findtype":"literal"},{"pattern":"[WOOC]","findtype":"literal"},{"pattern":"[SOOC]","findtype":"literal"}],"uuid":"b55fc483-0b9d-4389-9ecf-90e3f59f294f"}

Friends Commands/Messages

{"name":"Friend Messages","order":0,"startingMessage":"","forward":false,"abbreviation":"FM","mainColor":"#643F3F3F","borderColor":"#B4000000","innerColor":"#64000000","showUnread":false,"match":[{"pattern":"^\\[.* -\u003e .*] .*","findtype":"regex"},{"pattern":"^ Your friend .* is now (online|offline).","findtype":"regex"},{"pattern":"^ These are your friends:","findtype":"regex"},{"pattern":"^ - .* \\((online|offline)\\), (currently playing on .*|last seen at .*)","findtype":"regex"},{"pattern":"^ To see more friends use \\/friend list .*.","findtype":"regex"},{"pattern":"^\\[Friend-Broadcast] .*:.*","findtype":"regex"}],"uuid":"d1bf4336-64bd-47ff-975e-9ba2defdc5cd"}

Unneeded Chats / Clutter

{"name":"Clutter","order":0,"startingMessage":"","forward":false,"abbreviation":"Clutter","mainColor":"#643F3F3F","borderColor":"#B4000000","innerColor":"#64000000","showUnread":false,"match":[{"pattern":"^You can now claim your day .* voting milestone!","findtype":"regex"},{"pattern":"^Use \\/vote to see a list of voting sites","findtype":"regex"},{"pattern":"^(Deactivating|Activating) Auto-Run","findtype":"regex"}],"uuid":"1f1c2ea9-ff3c-499c-be30-42810ca6c07b"}

To import these, simply follow these instructions!

image.png

Now that that's out of the way, let's go over basic setup; the first thing to do when you create a new chat tab is to disable Forward Messages to Main, this ensures that anything you are trying to filter into the new chat tab does not appear in your main channel, which should typically only be roleplay actions for the clearest understanding.

image.png

From here, we can head up into the Matches Menu

image.png

In the matches menu, we can create our own separations from our chat using the different types we are provided. Below is a basic description of what our two main identifiers do.

Literal

Matches any matching text in any message and forwards it to the channel if it contains it in any form.

Regex

Regular Expressions for finer separation, deeper conditions and rules which can be customised to your preference.

Literal can filter out nearly any basic phrases, such as:

  • [LOOC]
  • [OOC]
  • Vote

Be aware by doing this it will forward ANY chat message that contains these listings of words into the tab, even if unintentional or said by a player, for example, trying to filter out voting messages with this may forward messages from In Character if individuals say “vote”.

Regex allows us to filter things out more specifically, introducing custom rules and formats it looks for. We will list a few examples of sentences filtered by certain conditions:

  • ^(\[.*]|).*
    • [Asthmatic] The Kitsune: “Hello there!”
    • John Doe: “ThESe FARMs beLOng’to ME!”
    • [Asthmatic] The Kitsune Rises Arm.
    • The Kitsune Rises Arm.
    • [!] This is a player action without a name that still is captured by this regex

  • ^You can now claim your day .* voting milestone!
    • You can now claim your day 1 voting milestone!
    • You can now claim your day 12 voting milestone!
    • You can now claim your day 30 voting milestone!

  • ^(Deactivating|Activating) Auto-Run
    • Activating Auto-Run
    • Deactivating Auto-Run

For more information on how to use regex you can refer to this video

https://youtu.be/IzBk58Eorr4?si=0Pv4mYsWjmA6g4nT

You are also able to practice and test your own Regular Expressions

https://regex101.com

No Reports

This mod strips cryptographic signatures which are attached to every chat message sent from 1.19 onwards. Removing them makes it impossible to track and associate your chat messages with your Minecraft client, and, by extension, your Microsoft account.

https://modrinth.com/mod/no-chat-reports/versions

Disable Insecure Chat Toast

This mod deletes the warning toast about connecting to a server without enforcing secure chat.

https://modrinth.com/mod/disableinsecurechattoast/version

Scholar

Map Mods
(Fabric)

[!] Be aware that for ANY map mod used within the server that has player tracking enabled, it MUST be disabled. Using player tracking is against the server rules. [!]

How to Toggle Entities (player tracking) off

  1. Open the Mod Menu in Minecraft.
  2. Select Xaero’s Minimap & World Map from the list of mods.
  3. Go to Entity Radar Settings.
  4. Find the option Display Radar.
  5. Set it to OFF.

Xaero’s Map Mods

Minimap -
This mod is a unique addition to Minecraft, featuring a rotating square design. It offers customizable settings, including a circle-shaped minimap and a waypoint setting. The minimap can display surrounding entities, players, mobs, and items. Users can also place their own waypoints for teleportation. The mod can display blocks above and below ground in cave mode. It comes in full and fair-play editions for fair PVP, and is mostly client-sided.

https://modrinth.com/mod/xaeros-world-map

World Map -
This mod adds a self-writing full-screen map to your Minecraft client. It works best with the minimap mod above.

https://modrinth.com/mod/xaeros-minimap

Rendering Mods
(Fabric)

Bobby

This mod allows for render distances greater than the server's view-distance setting.

https://modrinth.com/mod/bobby/versions

[!] Please note that Bobby can cause crashes if not properly configured. The fix is below [!]

How to Toggle Dynamic World Management off

  1. Open the Mod Menu in Minecraft.
  2. Select Bobby from the list of mods.
  3. Turn off  Dynamic World Management
  4. ‘/bobby upgrade’ within the game.

Figura

This mod is one of the best for immersion on Lord Of The Craft. [!] Be aware that this can conflict with Immediately Fast. Furthermore, it will not render entities in the home menu when mixed with Skin Shuffler. To fix the crashing bug, you need to turn off First Person Matrices in Figura's settings before you join the server [!]
