*Cralt groans, as his bandaged thigh sticks out of his bed, Still sore from the very recent Wars with the humans, and defending the relics. He climbs out of his shop, And begins to speak.

The elves did what they did, defend their allies.

They Never attack, always defend.

We did what was right for us, Help the orcs. If we could, we would ally The dwarves and the Humans.

It is our way to welcome all with open arms, and defend our friends. When someone fights against our friends, we defend them. In a case where we allied with all of them, we dont fight.

You must understand, the orcs are the exact opposites of us, And we fight with them.

We fight to defend, not to start wars.

Aye, well that's funny considerin' the Elves attacked both Kal'Urguan and Galahar so were heavily involved in startin' this war...

Hopefully with the election of High Princess Indelwehn, an agreement for peace can be made.

Te' war that 'as come upon us is one that 'as draggen inn far to many, 'ere is not a day I do not think of te' people that 'as been lost in this war. Even thought all of this te' orc's need to learn they cannot threathen my people, and shoot 'em with arrows when they are walkin on te' kings road.

My men was travelin' on te' Kingsroad outside Krugmar when yer men shouted taunts at us, We are a pridefull people and will not take this so it was returned with words aswell.

My men got sick of ye and decided they would leave te' area. Then yer bloody orc's filled te' air with arrows aiming at my men, Yer petty orcen arrows did not penetrate our fine dwarven armor, quickly my men picked up their weapons and charged at ye slaying a few orcs. A few dwarven warrior fell, And likewise with te' orcs.

Then in yer bloodthirst ye attacked an dwarven city, before ye marched at Kal'Urguan 'ere ye treacherus words was returned with a few well thrown rocks in yer 'ead.

Elves ye 'ave supported te' orc's and brought 'onour to an alliance ye made long ago, I respect this. Te' orc's brought this war upon themselves, through raids at te' 'uman nation, And also threw attacks at my people and cities.

It is my understanding that it was a couple of rogue orcs not of the Warnation that initially attacked the dwarves. Laurelin has experienced these rogues as well and we did not march upon Krugmar, or even go to our orcish allies for an explanation. Then again the elves are wise enough about such matters. It is a shame that the dwarven nation is not.

Nay, 'ere was not rouge orcs. Unless te' warlord 'imself suddenly became one.

Aye, as Thorik said, Mogroka was leadin' the attack so they certainly weren't rogue Orcs, nor 'ave the Orcs ever denied that they attacked us.

I had heard nothing of such things! However last week I did see human soldiers in the woods. Around 15 I'd say...

Orcs judge by actions, not words.

The dwarves attack? The Orcs will defend, and in the old days they would automatically launch a counter attack! It doesn't matter a damn how it makes the weak-willed feel, sad or not.

Orc children will suffer and grow strong. If they fail to grow strong, they die. That is Krug's curse and his blessing.

Orcs don't cry. If an Orc feels sad, they bury it. Orcs do not offer their enemies food, or shelter. They unleash hell 10 TIMES what the enemy has unleashed!!

If Krugmar suffers long, then it is clear who is to blame; The Weak. I am an Elf and even I know this better than some of the current Orcs of Krugmar.

The Dwarves didn't attack, the Orcs attacked both Kal'Urugan and Galahar with the help of the Elves and the Black Cross. The Humans and Dwarves are just defending THEIR land.

Pfff Ill tell you this much: The Orcs do not recognize your "Kings road is neutral territory" skah. The Orcs claim Krugmar by right of nativity, Whispering Isles by right of spoils of conquest and all the land in between by right of conquest. This means from Fort Krug, to Fort Tythus, to the Whispering Isles is all Orc land. Therefore the adjoining King's road is also claimed by Orcs. We will tax as we please and kill any who wish to ignore our taxes, taxes which our law allows us to administer to whomever enters our lands as we see fit. You have the option to pay, or fight. And yes, we consider fighting a legitimate option. It's not "resisting the toll" for us, its just another option to paying. We perceive taxes as taking resources from the weak and reallocating them to the strong, thus improving society. If you defeat the tax collectors, you prove to them that you are stronger from them and therefore are not subject to the taking from the weak and giving to the strong mentality.

That being said, openly attacking us on the Kings Road is unacceptable. If you dislike our tax collecting, it is well within your right to challenge those collecting the tax (who often act independantly) to fair arena duels that comply with Orcish tradition. By choosing instead to wage war, you get war. You make your choice on how to deal with the Orcs, we simply react to those choices with actions that are 100% decisive and leave no middle ground.

As much as I disdain the orc's methods of using combat to solve their issues, I cannot find any fault in this orc's logic. He is simply quoting orcish law, which does extend into Whispering Isles. Even though it was taken by conquest, it has been as far as I know, recognized as sovereign orcish territory.

By not adhering to their regulations on taxation you are violating their sovereignty which is by all means, justifies their right to declare war.

This hostility could be rectified. All Kal'Urgan needs to do in my personal opinion is submit an official and public apology to the Warlord as well as paying restitution to the damages incurred upon his Warnation. ((Like this will ever happen, but I'm an elf so I have to say it lol))

I dunnae want te' spill Elven blood, but if it be me orders to, it be me duty. An', t'is be because ye' be too scared te' break yer pact wit' thee Orcs. Just break thee pact, an' thee toll will be abolished from ye'. Just saying, yer treaty wit thee Orcs shall cost ye dearly if ye' dunnae break it...

((Not my call here, but really. If you break your treaty with the Orcs, we should stop taxing you. Again, not my call.))

Alternatively to breaking the pact, you could get around any tolls the Dwarves erect by walking into Krugmar, shouting any of the following:

"There's a dwarf toll up the road."

"I'm an Elf of Malinor and some Dwarves are trying to toll me."

"I'm an Elf of Malinor, can anyone help me?"

"Dwarves. Up the road. Need to die."

Or any other thing following along those lines. The fun part about being allies with a WARnation is that there is always a supply of bodyguards and raiders ready to do some damage. The better part about being allies with Honorable Orcs is that honor alone dictates that we should not only jump to support our allies, but also should give our all to support them. That means you can expect them not only to tag along, but to be willing to put down their lives to see you through that pesky toll purse in tact.

Wanna put that to the test in the Arena? You have an awefully fast mouth, I bet your feet are just as quick to move when a fight comes to your doorstep. I tell you know, there's not been a single Orc duel in history that broke our code of honor.
