In times like these we must unite. We must stop scattering and recuperate. We must rebuild what is destroyed. We must stop feeling sorry, yes it was a terrible event, but we must move on. We must go to Oren's cities and stop taking refuge in foreign nations. We all must come closer as one. We must stop conflicts with foreign countries. We should unite all of Oren and strike back! The undead would not suspect it. All in all we should unite and stop being so scattered across Aegis feeling sorry for ourselves!

We should, but will we?

Well I do believe we have the ability, I do believe we can do it, I know we will I just think it may take a while.

For many, fighting without a sworn liege would be hard. Morale is always low, I fear it may actually take a foreign nation's intervention to aid in the human counterattack.

Of course, with no official king, many - even the monarchs of other races, could try to install themselves as the apparent King or Queen of Oren.

*Sighs as he reads the random note handed by a young courier. Looking out from his shelter, the dark sky of the soot, and grime released from the destruction of the city can be seen from the small refugee tent. Speaking in low tone to himself.*

This may be a wound the heart of Oren won't overcome.....

*His voice slips away as he lays back in his bedroll, sharp dreams and thoughts flash threw his mind of death as the battle in the city took place. Whispering again to himself before he falls asleep due to weakness from the ashes*

May the valiant step up, and claim what we have back and finish the fight so peace can reign or place us in a state of safety...

We should not counter attack in a time like this, and morale is not the problem. It is just the idea that we are separated. We are so far apart that morale can't be low because people think we have low numbers. If we were to unite morale would be high.

We have a council we have no need for a king at the moment. Nobody would try to install them self as king because they know we still have as government. There best chance or only chance would have been when we had no government.

You can't order that...

Bah...waste of words, the only thing we can do now is to try to lead by example and hope the others follow. Fight all you can and know that others will come by your side.

*sighs

Do you think we should fight when everyone is either in despair or just still bewildered by the loss of Al Khazar? Do you expect to arm innocent civilians not ready for combat or not suit for combat to attack an undead infested place where you die almost instantly from some foul stench or fume? We can only defend we can not fight for now...

Because your speech will do so well to inspire everyone when you're telling me right now that you believe that people have lost hope. If they have lost hope in this fight and think it's lost, why not show them it's possible to win? You're wasting your breath this way, the right way is to use it showing people that you can fight.

(Can't tell if thats sarcasm so can't really get an answer ic)

We can win by rebuilding. If they see men dying to take over a town that can never be inhabited again what good would that do? We should just stay on the defensive and rebuild for now... I do not know if you are against Oren because you seem to want it destroyed or to lower morale.

Frowns morosely at the young herald whilst resting the palms of his hands on the hilt of his zweihander out and leaning on the ground; balancing Gaius's body as he begins to speak

Ye don't understand much about the morale of men, about what is truly needed to lead an army. Heralds only serve to throw distractions at the woeful man so that he may look a glance away from the stark eyes of death he has stared at for far too long. Action is imperitive, how about we stop talking here and do something for once aye?

*throws his blade on the ground almost immediately in frustration

I am no herald get that through your head. I know much more about morale in civilians. You are talking about battle hardened men it is the opposite situation over here in Oren. In Oren not everyone is battle hardened. Some civilians would have higher morale if they saw more people besides six people at peak times. They rely on numbers... Is that wrong? Is it wrong for some civilians who have never seem combat to rely on numbers and have higher morale because of it? Answer me serf (my character isn't aware your not a serf)

There will be no war at the moment. We've decided to regroup at go into defensive operations. Thereis a slight chance well attack and try to take back the jewel of the north. We just need to regroup and build up in walls and economics. There will be no war.
