The Ashen Council

*Reynard looks at several letters received stating the same question, how does the council work, what positions are on it, and so and on and so forth. He decides to finally answer these queries and begins to write out the government's positions and expectations*

The government of Renatus is split into two halves. The first and most important is the Ashen Council. The second that will be detailed later is the Court of the Phoenix. The council is made up of several members each with their department, assistants and otherwise to do their daily work.

The first being the Reagent who leads the council at all times and helps to organize council as well as help with any council member as if they were the Emperor, by that I do mean that they have his ear and his authority while within council or when the Emperor is away. He deals with political issues in both The Ashen Council and The Court of the Phoenix.

The Second member of the council is the Royal Scribe and his assistants. They concern themselves with writing out the Edicts and other important articles of government, they organize the Imperial Archives and The Royal Library, and they make sure that all laws and articles are in the most up to date version.

Next comes the Domestic Minister who deal with all the important affairs of the people of Renatus. He deals with education, building, citizenship alongside the Royal Scribe, and deals with the various Lords, Princes, and their Territories within the regions of the Nation. He as well deals with all local guilds who seek their base to be in the Nation and any guilds who wish to be a part of our National structure.

The Foreign Minister deals with diplomacy and ambassadorship for any of the other nations of Asulon as a whole. He deals with foreign policy as well, helping create treaties and other such important things when dealing with other Nations, he also helps many of the guilds outside our country who wish to do business or build bases within our Nation itself. And lastly he deals with additions to Renatus land such as border states joining our Nation or buildings such as Foreign Embassies in both our country and others as well.

Our Minister of War deals with our armies. Organization, feeding, buildings, supplying, and stationing and other such needs for our armies. He also is one of the council members who helps in matters of strategy and war claims against nations in times of war. He works almost exclusively with the military, yet his focus is ensure peace in our nation and others as a whole.

Our last Minister is that of Economics. He deal with all things coin, trade, food, and storage of the Nation's valuable resources. He deals with trade groups and large Trade Guilds within the country and those who wish to trade with our nation. He takes stock and collects taxes every year or so ensuring that our nation never wants for anything.

The last member of the council is the Head Magister. He heads our church, and heads the Magistry itself thereby helping with education, religion, and the needs of the poor, weak, and hungry. He also heads our Academy ensuring that education is available for all member of our nation.

Josef sighs as he stares into the empty inkwell. He gets a new inc sac from a storage chest and slits it open, dumping the contents into the glass bottle, swirling them with the nib of the quill. He adds a touch of sand for smoother writing and a pinch of cocoa beans for better colouring. As he writes he thinks to himself, 'There are many notable citizens of Renatus that could fill these positions. Hopefully the best are chosen to fill each.'

Karlio smiles and says to himself "These positions are great and I can think of a few people to go along with them. I think I might try and aim for one of these positions. Which one? I do not know yet. Something that will help everyone. Maybe like a spokesman for the public. The People's Voice. Yeah! That's catchy."

Karlio then walks off and starts to pack for his studies.
