Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name:

P1NK_N1NJ4

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:

No, unfortunately.

How old are you?:

16 years of age.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

I live in the United States, time zone (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

I believe I have a decent understanding of the English language.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I am currently a Sophomore in high school, which occupies much of my time. Whatever time I have when I am not doing homework, I prefer to spend playing video games, creating mods for them, or doing something that allows my creativity to take control. I hope to go to a decent college and take up courses in engineering.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Not as much as I would like. On weeknights, I may be able to spend an hour at best, but much more during the weekends.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying is creating a character with a unique personality and acting as you expect they would. It's a great way of creating interesting situations or just becoming someone you wish you were.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming is using knowledge that your character may not possess to their advantage. An example would be traveling to a location that you (the player) have seen on a map, without asking directions in-game.

Powergaming is creating a character that is omnipotent or invincible. A character has to fail occasionally, despite any disadvantages that might cause. Basically, powergaming ruins RP for other players, and is extremely unfair as well.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect that this server will be a great place to meet new people and be creative, without the threat of griefers that is so common elsewhere.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played on two other servers, ObsidianCraft and ImDeity, but left them because of lag and griefing.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes I have.

How did you hear about us?:

I stumbled across candle's youtube channel while I was browsing minecraft videos, and I was immediately impressed with both the community and the lore.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

I have not, but plan to once I get a taste of what this server is like.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

In-Character:

Character Name:

Arynne Mithrandir

What is your Race?:

High Elf

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Arynne was born years ago in a small village to the north, but the exact time and place is unknown. At the age of nine, a party of slavers raided the village that Arynne called home, killed her father, and took her mother elsewhere. For what she assumes to be about fifteen years, Arynne was enslaved by her captors, doing hard labor for hours upon end, constantly at the mercy of the whip. In a very short time, she had come to hate her captors. It was not long before she started devising ways to escape to the outside world, away from the slavers' camp and her masters. Over time, she grew strong. She learned how to avoid the whip, and how to hide. Although this was common among the slaves, she took it a step further. She started to disappear during the work day, re-appearing at random, but always before she was noticed. One night, however, she disappeared for good. The slavers sent multiple search parties over the next week, but they always returned empty-handed. Arynne traveled South for months, using her stealth skills to hunt and sustain herself, and to avoid travelers on the road. Over time, the lands became more populated. Small farms appeared, followed by villages, and then large towns. Arynne eagerly continued forward, intent on starting a new life, away from her evil masters.

Your characters ambitions:

Simply to start again, and create a new life, whatever that may be.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

On her journey South, Arynne stumbles upon a small cottage in the woods. The flowing, graceful architecture looks different than the other homes she has seen nearby. As she approaches, she spots two men dressed in dark furs, and a tall, fair-haired woman. They are speaking to each other, although it is immediately clear that the conversation is not friendly. Arynne ducks behind a nearby tree, nocking an arrow to her bow and bringing it to half-draw. Gathering her strength, she leaves the cover of the tree, drawing and firing the bow in one smooth movement. The arrow whistles through the air, burying itself in the first bandit's chest. With shock, the second man stares at his dead friend. With a snarl, he turns to the woman in front of the cottage, drawing his sword, but is met with a searing pain in his throat. The bandit drops to the ground heavily, blood soaking into the dirt. The threat gone, the elf turns toward the arrow's origin, but only finds trees and brush. Arynne walks away from the scene, in the shade of the forest. Killing bandits is one thing, conversation is another.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

"I would like to buy some supplies for the road please. Food, water, and a good pair of boots if you have them." The shopkeeper enters the door to the storeroom behind him, and soon returns with some dried meat, two loaves of bread, and a small pair of plain leather boots. Arynne looks at the food with regret, wishing he had instead brought some dried fruit.

"There you are, miss. Would you like anything else?"

"No, that's all I need." Arynne pays the man for the supplies, wishing again that he had brought something more appetizing from the storeroom. Unfortunately, years at the mercy of her masters has taught her to accept what is given to her, and not start arguments.
