Main Account MC Name: PtahWithin

Alternate Account MC Name: Jotoal

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: I did not attend Minecon, so I had not the opportunity to.

How old are you?: I am 16 years of age.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: USA, EST.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: The eloquent verbalizations that I profusely produce from the seat of my voice are without error nor turbulence. Yes.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am greatly interested in literature, and have written a few stories of my own. Much to my anguish I appear to be attracted to the chaotic machinations of politics, and do my best to distance myself from reading about it - with little success. I think Cosmology is the most amazing science i the entire world.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Probably 2-3 hours a day, so 15-20 hours a week.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: In the past, I have done text-roleplay games on other forums, covering everything from intergalactic wars to talking with people in a fantasy-era bar. Roleplaying is making a new character, immersing yourself into it, and acting its feelings and emotions out in thought-provoking or interesting situations, possibly with other people who have undergone a change in persona.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming: using information one knows in real life while immersed in your character; for example knowing there is a huge attack force of starships waiting for you on the other side of the stargate and deciding, while in character, to avoid entering it.

Powergaming: attempting to 'win the game', forgoing the actual purpose of a roleplaying game - having fun - and giving yourself powers that are unrealistic and overpowered, which greatly destroys much of the fun involved in a roleplaying game.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I don't really know, from what I have read so far it appears to be whatever you want it to be. I do expect, however, that it will be great fun to play.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: None other of great significance, only a few private servers with friends. I stopped playing on them when they were taken down after the host's computer got fried.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, yes, yes.

How did you hear about us?: I was browsing the Minecraft Server subforum, looking for another server after my friend had to shut his down, for reasons mentioned above. I saw the flashy title, and I at once recognized the Tolkien-spawned name. So, I investigated it. And here I am.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?Yes. 2239.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: PtahWithin

In-Character:

Character Name: Jotoal Eintuk

What is your Race?: Human

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Jotoal Eintuk, son of Mwemdi Eintuk, was born in the winter, as icy daggers of wind scraped against the windows of their house, deep in the wilderness of Aegis. He was the third child of Mwemdi and his wife Gihta, though Jotoal was the only one alive. The cold peering through the frosty windows took the rest during nights long sought to be forgotten. So isolated from the other kingdoms, there was always work to be done. Jotoal was raised to work and shorten the ever-growing list of things that needed to done. Logs to be cut and stacked, hunting to be done, fixing the house. It was not hard, forced labor, but simply things that needed to be done. Mwemdi instilled into his son a respect for all things, however unimportant they may seem. Perhaps he once defied the winter, and paid for that his first two children. In loving Gihta, Jotoal learned of the apparent wonders in the world, that there was law behind the hidden veil of reality, order and numbers. So was Jotoal infused with a sense of both mysticism and rationality. The mind behind his deep green eyes yearned to uncover nature's secrets as much as he wished to respect them as hidden. They had little interaction with the outside world, but when the deep cold the Undead cast swept across their land, they were forced to move closer to civilization, into a small town. At this time, Jotoal was aged 28, his parents growing old and their breaths cold. Their residence there did not last long, for the great destruction of Aegis soon took place, and the Eintuk family followed the evacuees into The Verge. But the crowd of people flooding the ships were so great and furious that Jotoal was separated from Mwemdi and Gihta and were forced by the crowd to board different ships. Jotoal worried, but knew he would see them again when the ships reached their destination. They landed in Asulon, and Jotoal stood infront of the ships, waiting. But Mwemdi and Gihta never emerged. He looked desperately for them, asking other passengers about them, but he learned nothing useful. Inside of him, he knew they were still alive, that they had wandered out into the world, but he soon lost hope he would ever see them again. And so, he wandered into the deep parts of the world, hopeless. His hair grew grey with time, for all the Eintuk's hair turned white long before they reach advanced age.

Your characters ambitions: All that Jotoal truly wants at this time is peace, relief and tranquility. Now and then he entertains the possibilty that he may find his parents again, and searches for them, but looses hope quickly.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Jotoal silently approaches, gazing at the bandits with his piercing green eyes. He shouts out "Highwaymen! Care to dance?" The two bandits turn, bemused, and approach Jotoal. They see the color of his hair and think him to be an old, senile man, and forget about the elf. Jotoal retreats, drawing deeper into the forest, away from the cottage as the elf watches in confused gratitude. Once he is far enough, Jotoal runs, and the bandits pursue. Deeper and deeper they go into the dark woods, until they are so far out it would be impossible to find the way back to the cottage. So, they trade insults to each other, accusing the other of being tricked and following this old crazy man rather than seize the opportunity to loot an entire cottage. Jsthis, and sneaks back off into the forest, his work done.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Jotoal looks at the shopkeep with indifference, but remains polite. "A canteen of water, two loaves of bread, and three yards of rope, if you will."

"Rope? What do you need that for?"

"Rope is useful. It can make and solve any knot, any problem."

Other Information: I intend to take this character in a very different direction than my Ptah Remneal, member of the Alrasian military and a protector of its people.
