Bawd 222 Share Posted February 19, 2012 Order of Skravia Lumen Purus - A Pure Light The Order of Skravia is an Order dedicated to what is pure and right. It brings the three aspects of combat - The Warrior, a brute, wielding a sword or axe - The Rogue, a cunning one, sneaking, using a sword or a bow - The Mage, a clever one, using Magic to take out targets from afar - together. Lore In the year 12, Reman, a citizen of Skravia, died. His son had come, as he was to inherit everything. After living in Skravia for a few months he found an old Spell Book, containing ancient spells. He translated the names from an ancient, runic language, and discovered that he could resurrect his father. This had a price, though. Kol resurrected his father, but in exchange he was absorbed within his own mind, and he had to fight his own imagination to escape. He is still within his own mind, and Reman has made this force for the greater good so that none may use Dark Magic and follow his path. The teachings of the Order have been passed down through the High Elves of Reman's mother's family for generations. Firstly, one must never succumb to the darkness. Second, one must never allow personal feelings to get in the way. Third, one must always do what is right. This Order has resurfaced under many different names, but this is the first time in recent centuries. How to Join We, the Order and our Council, recruit those with power - Strength, clever or cunning. To be considered, send a bird to Reman of Skravia ((/t Reman [or] /t Pengepi)) with your speciality - a Mage, a Warrior or a Rogue, and you will soon hear from us. If we like the look of you, we'll send a member out to examine you. Ranks The Order is ranked as follows: Grandmaster (Or High Paladin): Oversees all actions. There can only be one at any time, it is currently Reman. Legate: There can be two at any time, but none are required. It is very rare that these are not Skravians or relatives of the Johnsons, Skravia's leaders. Council: There is no limit on how many councillors there may be, but it should be kept small. They may make decisions when a Grandmaster or Legate is not available, and only if the majority of the Council is in favour. Paladin: Higher ranking members, who have passed or skipped Ordinator rank and who the Council favours. Ordinator: Internal police. All matters within the Order fall to an Ordinator, or larger matters to a group of Ordinators. Guildsman: Average guildsman, follows orders and takes assignments. Initiate: An initiate is anyone who wishes to join, of any age. But they must turn twelve before they can take the initiation ceremony and become a guildsman. Any Johnson of Skravia may turn down an assignment, and get special privileges, because of the Order's dedication to the town, and the Johnsons being the leaders. Official Stuff We are in NO WAY an official government body of Skravia. We are sanctioned by Lord Barry as a secondary guard force, but we hold no official power other than that granted to us by the town of Skravia. The Grand Hall In the Skravian swamplands there is a stone building, aeons old. It was there before we came to this land of Asulon. The Order have refurbished it and turned it into their official Guild Hall, and decorated it appropriately. At the front entrance hang two red banners, each bearing the insignia of the Order. Within the Hall, all official business is dealt with. Ordinators must check in regularly with a Guild Hall or the Grand Hall, and Council members must attend meetings there. As well as official things, there are drinks, games and socialising. Rules For one to join the Order of Skravia, they must agree to the following rules. I - Never kill. It is unacceptable. Punishable by death or banishment. II - Never steal. Punishable by banishment. III - Respect other Guildsmen. No punishment other than warning or demotion in serious cases. Initiation The Initiation ceremony takes place on the main floor of the grand hall, where Initiates will pledge loyalty to the Order and to do what is right. The Grandmaster will be present, and as many Council members as possible. This is when each Initiate will be officially acknowledged by the Order as a full member. Initiates must be twelve or older. Benefits Benefits are as follows: Johnson Family Member: Full Council membership, Protection, and ability to decline an assignment at their discretion. Protected: A Protected person is someone who has paid or has been paid for to be placed under the Order's protection. Any Protected who offends the Order will be cut off with no refund. Ally: Anyone who has proven themselves to the Order but declined our joining invitation becomes an Ally. This can be offered to factions or individuals. Most Allies will reflect the current political standing of Skravia. Any decision by a Johnson to make or destroy an alliance is considered, and their vote counts for three at the next Council. Council Council meetings are complex political and social gatherings. At a normal, private council meeting, every Council member has one vote and the Grandmaster has two. At a public meeting, Guildsmen get one vote, Council members and Diplomatic Guests two, and the Grandmaster and Johnsons three. The social aspect of these gatherings is that they last for a few days, and while there are not meetings the gathered diplomats and Guildsmen are free to use the Grand Hall's social floors; its tavern, the games and so on. Wretched 2039 Share Posted February 19, 2012 Tis a nice idea but it seems like it lacks purpose. What exactly does the guild intend to do as it seems a lot of guilds want to "Fight evil for good." A good start but it lacks detail.

Bawd 222 Author Share Posted February 19, 2012 That's all the actual lore. Reman did found them after his son performed the ritual. Its purpose is to keep its own members good, and to prevent the use of dangerous magic that could harm the user or other people. It will stop at almost nothing to defend the innocent, and it's home town of Skravia.

Wretched 2039 Share Posted February 20, 2012 Haha yeah, I know Barry IG and will be keeping a watchful eye on his town. Hope you give the town what it needs :D
Anderssn 1115 Share Posted February 21, 2012 yeah the town is growing faster than i thought. And i think our future ith the town is pretty good, even if very much sad things happends there too... But if this would be a part of he town or official order, i dont think we need more. The military takes care of deffence aand guarding, and we got enought high ranked people to keep the town going well.

Bawd 222 Author Share Posted February 24, 2012 The order is named after Skravia and it's main base is nearby Skravia but Reman hopes that it will spread throughout Asulon and not just Skravia Henry, have you been following me around listening to what I'm saying? :D Barry knows, I told Jake and he said to ask Barry about the name. I hope that this will grow to be somewhat like the Fighters' Guild of earlier Elder Scrolls games, but more inclusive of those in the ways of Stealth and Magic. It will hopefully bring a decent income to Skravia once the Order grows as mercenaries, they'll be more available to help citizens regularly with non-crime things than the Guard, and the Grandmaster (Me :D) is on Skravia's Council. Henry is going to be trained by the Order and if Nalrek/Apareon depending on who exists at that point in time wants to join they can. Feanor could get in on the basis that he's a Knight of Skravia, and being a Johnson, even by adoption would still give him perks within the Order. Also, those who voted that I make everything clearer, please specify what you want to be clearer and what you don't understand. If I find that you have perhaps misread or simply misunderstood what I have written, I will try to the best of my ability to explain. If I find that the error is on my part, I'll fix it and send you a 'Thank You' message including a smiley face :D
