Dwarves

So as you all know I have been a dwarf since this server has started. I was actually I think the first person to apply to be a dwarf or like the 2md through 5th but whos counting. Anywho I have been with the dwarves through thick and thin. I was there when the 1st century dwarves ruled and we stayed underground. Now the first thing we did wrong was leave to go to the surface IE Outter Kal Urguan. Now this place was the start of the dwarves leaving. Now in LOTR how many dwarf cities did you see above ground? Not many huh? Well this was to aadd protection but all it was a giant flat wall then it grew to include farms and homes and a INN. No one went to the inner city cause well why travel that far in when all you need is outside?

So months go by dwarf kings come and go I became ascended and I loved the dwarves so much I stayed with you guys instead of going to Haven or Aeriels Keep. Now I got in trouble with my higher ups because of this but I love the dwarves RPly and OOCly I couldnt leave you all defenseless.

Now when I talked with others on one thing that could VERY MUCH BETTER THE DWARVES they all like it but wont do it now my plan is very simple yet IDK why it hasnt happend yet.

ALL DWARVES MUST LIVE IN THE CAPITAL CITY AND STAY UNDERGROUND AND EXPAND FROM THERE.

Now I know we have cities and such. Kal Dwain and even my nation Holm. Every dwarf that does not come back to the capital and stay undergound becomes an EXILE and thats how we would treat them.

Another thing we can do it for food have shroom farms. We would trade for wood (like we should have too). Wheat for ale would have to be traded for too. We would have the main entrance to hold (but now I see we dug a dammed tunnel to the harbor.... crappy defense there) And we would use the deep roads as an expansion for dwarves to work and to fight in (mob spawning turned on).

Now we I tried to overthrow Thorik and got the other clans to help (even though they backed out and put the blame on me) I was going to make this official and GET ALL THE DWARVES BACK. The reasons why they leave is there is nothing to do and RP in the main city. Well non exiles would be there. Drinkning ale. Eating soup. MEat from mooshrooms. And fun everywhere.

The only time we would leave the tunnels would be for war and if someone were to pay us alot of money to fight with them. I dont see why we help all the other nations with their petty disputes. Dwarves are suppose to be secluded and stubborn but no we go out into the open air to do whatever we want too.

Karik is a beautiful city and I had so many ideas for it. But people has to assume and not think ahead. I love the dwarves and I wish the best. I hope my little rage wasnt too much and be sure to point out all my flaws. I have had a bad couple days and this actually helped.

hiebe ay agree wit'yea all tha dwarfs w'o live on tha surfes s'ould be exile or atleast sumefing liket t'at. ((i see you want to see the dwarfs like the mend to be like in dragon age origin, i my self would like to see the same thing happen. all the dwarf living in karik, let the other races come an trade with us. useing the deeproads for training and trading with samere Underground trading posts))

((The biggest problem is you're attempting to restrict rp with other races, and it just gets boring interacting with just dwarves. Not to mention each dwarf has so many other friends from other races, and you're telling them to just randomly cut ties? Unless like the orcs, you go out, and cull the "outcasted" dwarves, it'll be hard to establish some semblance of unity.))

((I agree. Think about the fact that people already have friends in the other nations. Yes, we could all be down there working, but that's not what we all want to do. By exiling those who don't wish to stay within the capital, you will just create more OOC hostility and hate. If you want everyone to come back often, begin to apply your ideas, don't just talk about them. The city is empty for several reasons, e.g. Minimal RP, little housing, no central meetin area, little active social places such as resteraunts and taverns, and finally due to the OOC hate and problems that I have seen continue to go on for months. If your honestly tired of all this, try your best to deal with these issues.. Anyway, that's my food for thought.

((i just think we need to focus on the dwarves that do want to stay not those dwarves that leave. if we are going to focus on a lost cause then we will lose it, we need to have our minds on the people who are here. and when it becomes greater to be a dwarf and when the city is fun to be in, then the dwarves will come back. those are just my thoughts))

((I've always fantasized about dwarves, and how they had honour yada yada yada. The server too doesn't want to see you fail, so buck up, make things crazy, and people will return. Dont gripe about it in OOC, make events!

Remember that Karik was ABANDONED by some sort of ANCIENT civilization? We're still waiting for that event _edplpayers was mentioning about.))

((I guess I'll never be able to experience the feel of being a first century dwarf again, the time where true dwarves roamed the halls of Kal'Urguan. We lived right next to our mine. We shared our minerals, we fought the orcs together. I guess those days will never come again... ))

(( like supertimmy4ever said, the most important people are the people that decided to stay in karik and deal with the problems and try to help one way or another. From what i see so far from the new leadership is that the focus is on making the IC and OOC life of those who live in karik much better. Maybe having the kings make a recall to the capital to all dwarves to help with what needs to be done might be a good idea, and for those who refuse to return and help could be exiled? Idk. But priority needs to be housing and the city center. also the quotas will help alot.))

I've started working on tis. at first it will be just tunnels but eventually I 'ope te get enough rails.

Pretty much. I love all your input and glad to see that you all think the same or differently. Dwarves were ment to be underground and be secluded but it will never be like this.

Oh well. Those were my ideas but I doubt things will change.
