Grabthar 185 Share Posted February 26, 2012 Request for a Pillaging Raid: Opposing Faction: The Pirates of Skullport Cove Defending Faction: The Archipelago of Holm Name of the battle: The Sacking of Holm Location: Harbor, Docks, and Merchant District of Holm Time,(atleast 2 days warning.): Saturday March 3rd Late afternoon PST Purpose: We pirates wish to attack Holm as it is an isolated nation far from allies making it unlikely that help will arrive before we flee the scene. We have also scouted the island as having much of the resources we desire as pirates, IE ale, food, wood, & livestock. We wish to get in, grab supplies, and get out with minimal bloodshed, but are prepared to engage in combat if needed. We also wish this attack to be devastating to the locals and help to make a name for our Pirate crew. How we wish it handled: After discussing matters with Hiebe, the ruler of Holm, we have come to a plan on how we wish this raid to go. Step 1 - If possible get our completed ship copied from our cove and pasted just outside of Holm's Harbor. We would then need a GM to simulate cannon fire on the docks and buildings of the town. Hiebe has already agreed to destruction of buildings and we feel that an all out attack from the ship would indicate our intentions very well. Step 2 - While the towns folk are in total chaos trying to put out fires and save innocents, we would board our longboats and come ashore. We would bust in doors, grab loot, scare peasants, set more fires... you know, all the fun piratey stuff. We would continue to loot whatever we could carry until the Nation's guard finally got enough order to attempt and fend us off. Step 3 - At this point a climactic battle would begin. All RP'd of course since Hiebe and I agree that it is way more fun. Through emotes and chat we pirates would attempt to escape from the island back out to our ship by any means necessary, while the Guards of Holm try and apprehend us. My crew lives by the motto of live to steal another day, so in the event of our failure, most of us will be dropping our inventory and fleeing as fast as we can. This will include stuff we looted AND stuff we brought with us... possibly ores, weapons... maybe surprise goodies. Step 4 - Get the hell out of there. Our escape plan is to basically take the longboats(if successful) or swim(if failure) back to our ship outside of the harbor. We ask that if we make it safely back onto our ship, we have escaped capture from the guards. We also ask that since we RP leather and chain armor as the only feasible armor that someone could "easily" swim in, that nobody swim after us while swinging a sword since that just doesn't make sense. Once we are in the water.. feel free to barrage us with arrows, but be warned.. we may fire a cannon shot at you once back aboard the ship ;P At this point the event would be over. Our ship could be erased from their harbor and we could retreat back to our cove to revel in the booty, or wallow in self pity, which ever is the case :) Throughout this Raid, we will be only wearing leather/chain which is a main reason for RP fighting. Iron wearers will be more protected.. but leather wearers will be a tad bit quicker on their feet. As a side note.. I would love to be able to enlist the help of people on the server to RP as citizens... not fighters.. but scared members of the city for the event. I would hope that this event could be recorded and the more people causing chaos and running around in a panic, the better the realism would be. So if this is a possibility can a GM let me know so we can start getting people assigned to roles? This will be the first appearance of the Pirate crew in Asulon, and I am hoping that this event/skirmish will be amazing. In fact, should this have been posted in the events section? Grabthar 185 Author Share Posted February 26, 2012 I was shooting for around 5pm PST ish... We can work on that i guess. I also am almost finished with a pirate themed Texture Pack, so whoever we get to film can use that for added effect. We were planning on having certain chests around Holm unlocked and lootable.. that way you guys can moderate what might get stolen. I would imagine Hiebe would need to figure that out.. we are mostly looking for ale, wood, foods , that kind of thing.... but golds and iron are always good ;) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
