Pages From Zander's Journal

Page 57 - I think Master Riku has expanded his knowledge of Rune Magic. I gazed at him preforming Several Runes at a time without loosing a great deal of his power, I may have to study more of the book I found in the Vault of the ruins, It seems to be about something the Ancient Rune Mages didn't want to be released if they would have went through that much trouble just to seal it away, I must discover its secrets only then will Master Riku understand my power, and Teach me how to Master the runes as he has. As I continue to write this Journal entry I examine the book, it appears to be in some form of code. I suppose this is the Ancients way of keeping us out of their business. After spending another hour looking over the book i discovered that there are no Physical Runes on or inside this book at all, just odd markings with what appears to be definitions and instructions on how to cast them, maybe this isn't even a form of Rune Magic if that is the case what is this odd book?.

Page 58 - I found out more about the book, it was something one of the Ancients stole from a rival magic group, it seems to be a sort of spell book. Today Master Riku taught me how to read some of the Arcane language, I decided to attempt reading the spell book again Some of it actually made sense. After an hour of reading what I could i discovered that this book was Written by one of the Ancient Rune Master's Former students, according to what this book says he discovered a better way to Boost his powers and attack then using runes, I decided to give up on reading the book until I could understand all of it.

Page 59 - I finally learned how to read the Arcane Language, I could read the book without having to stop in confusion at every other word, the title of the book was "Tome of the Wielders" It had instructions on how to Use each spell in detail, it even held spells that were meant for Masters inside of this book. It is time for me to stop writing in this Journal and start mastering these spells, I will continue to write after I become a Novice at this Magic Form.

Page 60 - It has been Over a year, I have become an Elite at this Magic form, I am called a "Curse Wielder" and I have the power to Curse myself and others. I believe the power from this magic could even put Master Riku at his Knees, I decided to test its power on a few Monsters, I made Zombies burn to ash with only A Minor Spell, but I suppose that's just Zombies not a challenge, so I decided to test it on an actual human. I was late at night, I ran into a hunter in the woods and asked where he was headed, "I'm searching for the Ruins where the Rune Masters are, Got Any Leads?" I could tell he was no average hunter, just by looking at him I could see his dark Intentions, Without warning I activated a spell and after some struggle the Hunter dropped to the floor and grew colder by the seconds. It was obvious Curse Wielding is the stronger Magic form.

Page 61 - It has been another year, Master Riku banished me today, this will be my last Journal entry. He banished me for testing my magic on some of the other mages, I refuse to let him live my Magic is better, stronger, it is the superior magic by a long run. I will continue this magic form, I will teach others, I will raise an army of Curse Weilders and finally end Riku's Life with my own personal curse.

Riku's Oath

After learning of Zander's betrayal I have decided to finish the new Battle Rune, I have asked my men to travel looking for Blacksmiths to forge Weapons and Armor for us to implant runes into. A Rune is a Faster way to activate a spell, each rune has different properties and strengths, I am the single Master of the mage group "Rune Crafters" using a tome written by the ancients themselves for making runes we will show Zander how weak his magic really is. Yes Curse's are stronger and faster, but Runes take up less Magic energy and you can activate more at a time if your a Master level. Zander believes Rune Crafting will be destroyed by Curses , little does he know why I sealed that book in the vault in the first place. I suppose he will learn when the time is right, but when he does return the Rune Crafters will be there to stop him.

Death by one own blade

It has been Three years, the Curse Weilders has grown and settled in a hidden cave outside of a Base for a Mercenary Group, the two groups have an Alliance, the Mercenarys continue to hide them, while the Curse Weilders supply them with weapons and armor they gather from their cave. The leader of the Mercenary Group traveled in to the cave searching for Zander, "Zander!, Show yourself I need to speak with ye!". The leader echoed in the cave. Zander finally emerged from inside the cave Smiling, "Greetings!, what do I owe this visit?". Zander and the leader continued to chat as the Leader motioned for Zander to follow him in to an Empty room. "Zander..., I need one of your Magic Blades." The Leader's face turned grim, "Oh do you now?, It just so happens I saved the one from before." Zander smiles holding up a Golden Blade with what appears to be Curses on the blade. "Speed, Strength, and Durability. Plus the negative effect of it. If you accept the blade will be bound only to you, Do you accept?" Zander grins holding out the blade. "I... I accept" He shakes nodding his head taking the blade from Zander. The blade shines with magic energy, the Leader starts to test it out but as he tries to move he collapses on the floor. "Z-Zander... Whats h-happening.." The leader gasped for air as he laid on the floor unable to move. Zander panicked reaching for a sword stabbing the leader through the chest, The leader let out a cough then his eyes shut closed for the last time. Zander stood in the room staring at the dead body on the ground, he smiled having a sick thrill from killing someone, Zander realized what he could do with his Curses, and he enjoyed the thought of more people dieing from his magic.

There is an style to your writing that is very talented.

Your have the right tone an balance, the words you choose and select fit the style perfectly. Your writing isn't 9999 lines long for each page yet doesn't feel like its rushed. It's just the perfect balance. Could maybe do with a tiny bit more exiting verbs such as replacing words such as 'saw' in the first line but these are just small things that you may have improved on if you read through and did an word scan.

Like to see more pages because your work is pretty good. In future when you get better and better you should consider doing paid 'quest lines' for online games such as Runescape. Your style of writing fits it perfectly.

A good read overall I will say. But I have one question, it has to do about the time it took for the writer of the journal to become 'elite' at this form of magic. In one of the entries the writer wrote,

It has been Over a year, I have become an Elite at this Magic form,

From my knowledge it takes several years to master a form of magic. By the term over a year, were you implying that it has been several years or more than a year but not several years?

Well, this story was meant to be passed on throughout years of family, so over the course of years the story was altered to this point :3, in theory anyways.
