The following are on KAT

Xerdun

Repiteo

Alan

Lykos Daekon

Akeron

Karma Delta

I'm also willing to accept 2 new people onto the team. Leave a short description of why you should be on the team in this thread

A note to those on the KAT team. The application quality is being upped. However, I also appreciate that many have found fault in Karma's decisions and deem him to be too harsh (something in some cases I can attest to)

So, in light of this. In order for any apps to be revoked after being accepted requires the authorisation of TWO KAT team members. In addition, although applications I want to allow people who have had their applications revoked to be able to edit their apps in order to try and get reaccepted, after taking note of the comments left

I hope you all understand why these decisions have been made and I hope everyone involved feels that these new rules are fairer whilst at the same time raising the bar of applications

I would like to join the KAT.

And now I will list why I think I am capable of doing this well.

One:

I always am careful about grammar, and I see non-capitalized I's or no capital letters at the beggining of a phrase, the chances of being accepted drop very low. Since grammer is highly important in RolePlay, and those two points, are very easy to follow. Not doing so can show a lack of intrest, and commitment to really wanting to join.

Two:

Length. While length does not make the application good, it does constitute a big part of it, seeing that you need to be complete, and detailed. Espiacilly in the Open answer questions, and the Bio. The open answers need detail because it shows you are abel to describe a situation well, and by doing so, you are probably a good enough emoter too. In the Bio, you need it to give depth to your character, and make him intresting. A plian "My mom and died died now I seek revenge" bio is a denied bio to me.

Three:

Creativity. It is very important in RP too, because if you always do the same thing, and never do any different emotes, it gets boring quickly. You can spot creativity by the..well..creativity in the open questions and bio.

Four:

If I know you to be a powergamer or metagamer, your chances are low, since both are un-needed in the Kharajyr.

Five:

Presentation. yes, I know, it's a small thing, but a coloured app, with different sizes for titles and different colours, shows more application to the task, showing you put alot of work into it, and are really earnest about wanting to get accepted ((most of the time)).

Six:

Also, don't contradict yourself, be organized and think before posting your app, so you are clear, and there is nothing illogical that could harm your chances.

This is all that comes to mind, except for the fact that I'm seriously annoyed by some of the Kharajyr's poor RP atm, and am having a really strong desire to Revoke a couple Kharajyr. Very strong desire.

Why Should I join the Kha' Application Team?

Because I feel I can add something new onto the Kharajyr, I'm a friendly person oocly, and will not deny without a full explanation, of a few pharagraps as in why. I am one of those who informed Xerdun about Karma's decitions wich I deemed unfair. We shouldnt be a completely locked up race, like the Mori. As when it started it was told the application would be rather simple and only those who had horrible and deemed lore-breaking applications denied.

I think the following is important in the Application Team.

-Friendly Behavior-

I've seen amany whitelisters/Application team from other server who scream in bolds "Denied" without any further due. I think being friendly gives insight on the community as a whole,and whom are chosen to lead it/accept applications. Friendly advises, hints and tips are at hand for those appliers, and I'd remind the denied to pm me for any question, or to add me in skype (bloodygames).

-Decitions without biased calls-

Wether it is about bad roleplay or good roleplay experience with said players, I would avoid these applications, promising that, any judgement being given, taken as biased. I will uphold said rules of applicants and will make a full explanation of denial/acceptance. I would also ask for support of other KAT if the application is a pending application, being it hard to decide wether to deny or accept it.

Now this is what I expect from any Applicants:

-Grammar & Vocabulary-

Grammar is the keyspine of any application, I dont like seeing power-syndroms [Where they use a lot of ";" and ","] and misplaced commas [Like "I was, slightly mad at the Kharajyr, in the other corner of the, inn"].

Vocabulary is important in an application, and I hope I see a large array of vocabulary in the applicants, not constantly repeated words.

-Biography-

Wether it is about parents dying or living in the wilds in a stray manner, I love reading understandable biographies, where they give me some insight and introduction to the player's Kha'. I dont think stereotypes would come into the develop of a Kha', however, I will insight them into their chars in my judgement post.

-Final words-

I promise to uphold any sort of law given to peers and KAT, and if any issue is brought up, please P.M me, as I'm open to any criticism, I think that as a KAT I will accomplish a succesfull job.

Reasons I would make a good "KAT" member:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can look on things with a mature manner, I would always read the entire text before making any hasty decisions and I would look at all apps in the same way, Even if I don't like them, their app will be read just the same without (I hope) any bias in it. This works for GM's applying too, if their app is bad, I would not be afraid to deny them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In an application I look for uniqueness, something that stands out and doesn't just make them "another Kharajyr" but instead makes them "Lukina the humble farmer" or "Jarkoo the skull crushing barbarian". Something boring like "My character is a guard" would not be denied but instead asked to be improved. Detail is vital in these things, and if they have only made a skeleton, I want to see some flesh.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Having good spelling and punctuation really helps in an app, I will most likely prefer a neat set out Kharajyr app split into nice little paragraphs, rather than a big wall of plain, simple and grammatically incorrect words. If it is clear they have spent time on their application then they are far more likely to be accepted over somebody that looks like they have made in application in 5 seconds just for the hell of it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I would look on an application the same way all other lotc applications are. By this I mean powergamming, They should make an application as if they were playing lotc, and you wouldn't just put "Jimbob slays Poddleswack instantly" You would play both characters, and want each of them to win just the same. Winning in a role play scene does not make you "Good at role play" They should not be this unstoppable killing machine, and showing that they are able to role play losing will increase their chances of being accepted a lot.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An applicant should make sure of a few things too. Never to bump their post, or their chances of being accepted will fall off a cliff to its death, it will be read when it's read. Never to be rude, if their app is denied then it was probably for a good reason, and a mature response should be given to the applicant if they do such a thing. Never go private messaging the KAT begging for their app to be read, this just shows impatience and makes their app even less likely to be accepted.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On a final note, I do read many of the apps posted and I have seen some apps that I really don't think should of been accepted but I am powerless to do anything about it (Not saying names). I feel with me on the KAT it will give that extra filter that the KAT needs, If the application is almost there, I wouldn't accept or deny it, I would ask for some minor improvements to show they understand what I mean. If they have a good few mistakes then I would deny the app and ask for them to post another.

Why I should be on the KAT!

- One thing that I look out for is Grammar! . If you have good grammar then while you are rp'ing people will find it easier to Understand you. Although good grammar is vital in an app, you must and I mean MUST vouch for those who's first language is not English. If a player applies who is not native to an English speaking country, then if they make one or two mistakes I will let it slide, although if I see a page full of incorrect words English or not it will drastically affect your application!

- I have been playing on the server for 2 months or so and I haven't rp'ed with many people therefore

all of my opinions will be UNBIASED . I definitely will not accept someone's app just because I like them, if they're a very close friend of mine I would still treat them as I would to any other applicant.

- They're biography MUST be unique, not every Kharajyr has to be a guard or a hunter, what about those witch doctor's or the odd artist those professions are UNIQUE. If you make your biography unique it will only show the KAT member reviewing your app that you are CREATIVE. If you pick a profession such as a guard it wont be an instant deny, if you can show enough creativeness in your biography then your profession should not be a big problem.

- I will always review the app thoroughly, if I find powergaming in the app it will NOT be an instant deny, I will merely ask the applicant to change this so I may make my final verdict, but that is only if there is a small bit of powergaming but if I see, "He picks up the ape and kicks him across the the island he then runs over to he other side using his super speed and catches him before he falls" It will most likely be denied.

- I will always provide reasons on why your app has been denied, I make sure to clearly tell the applicant what they did wrong and how they can improve it. I will also let them pm me with any questions they may have concerning the application.

- I will definitely try my hardest to be fair and honest in ALL applications, I have no problems with any players so if they respect my decision there shall be no reason for them to act out and say my opinion is biased, I will NEVER insult or be rude to another applicant EVER it would probably make them regret applying and we will have one less Kharajyr.

- The applicant MUST have read ALL the Kharajyr lore, we are not Khajiit and seeing someone say that will anger me but I will not act out or be cruel and unfair.

- I hope this shows you all that I would love to be a KAT member and that I will do my very best to make decisions fair and unbiased. I swear to do my very best!

- Thanks, Borus / Eldai

Why I should be on KAT:

First of all, I'm a hardass. I look for consistency and creativity, I demand to see the best of the best, I demand to see that each question is answered in full, and that I can see the characters personality in EACH and EVERY question.

I want to see this race succeed, be the best it can be, and I am prepared to take any amount of heat that is thrown at me in order to do so.

I give no lenience in any respect, and I'm determined to be one of the most aggressive members and crack my little metaphorical whip against the back of every applicant until they show me their very best.

After all, I will accept nothing less.

I especially want to do this because well.. I want to help. I hear all the commotion, the complaining, the sound of stress in people's voice from all the weight on their shoulders.. and it bothers me, especially when I know I can offer up a bit more myself to make it easier for them.

I'm not one for flowery words when it's not the time to use such, like right now. I want to see that on an application or in the roleplay, but not right now. Right now, it's nitty gritty, just as it should be. I'm prepared to get down to business, give my best, and demand the best from everyone else alongside me to make this the most wonderful thing ever created by the players.

Is it a coincidence that the team's name spells "KAT", or was that done on purpose?

P.S. I don't want to be on KAT team

Well, looking at the huge texts above mine, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to win :mrgreen: But I'll give you my reasons~

I've been;

-On the App Team

-On the Villain App Team

-On Another RP Server's App Team

I feel I've done an adaquate job with what I do, giving a thoughtful explanation to each person I've denied through PMs. (I believe if they want to know why they were denied, they should ask) I haven't had anyone complain that I haven't done good enough, and I believe I know how to "shift gears" in terms of strictfulness on denying/accepting apps.

Thank you for viewing this.

Now that we have all been added. I think this post should be unpinned and removed and another should be made in its place listing all the KAT members.
