What has driven your city to become a larger nation? or Why is this settlement choosing to become a nation?

We have simply become too large in terms of population to be supported by our current lands. We require more areas for housing, shops, and things to that like. We also aim to provide more areas of work. Currently we've expanded into two main professions that you can obtain within our lands, Lumberjack and Miner. The Mining Guild is currently reorganizing itself and will require a new Head Quarters to provide a more restricted and hidden mine and a better work environment in which we can RP and have more fun overall.

How active has your town been in the world? What history and events have occurred in your town? or What do you see this nation growing to become?

The Mining Guild has been active in terms of the Dwarven nation. It provides a steady stream of ore for the capital city to smelt and create their weaponry with. As for our citizens, they have assisted each other in the pursuit of wealth, riches, and a stable place to call home. Kal'Dwain has participated and been through several events that have shaped the city and possibly Asulon as a whole such as:

The Terror of the Bandit Galhar

After terrorizing citizens for several Elven Weeks, Galhar was struck down and executed by several guards who were relieved to see the villain removed from our world.

Participation in the Battle of the Boot

Several citizens and I, the Lord Baron, joined in the Battle of the Boot, assisting the Dwarven Nation and Hanseti.

The Revision of the Ironguts

The Irongut clan was restructured and reorganized within a rather long meeting that dictated a new leader, advisor to said leader, and has since become the new location of the majority of the Irongut population.

How will your city evolve to adapt to this growth?

The city of Kal'Dwain has been growing for some time, looking for a way to become an event more prominent force on the world scale. Our city will adapt to these growth by reevaluating the current job system, prioritizing new structures that are to be built, and creating new houses and areas for living so that we may improve the amount and quality of the housing that citizens can live in. As for the government specifically, since we will still be under the Dwarven Kingdom, not many changes are needed. We will have a Lord Baron (Me) and I will create other roles to deal with the various aspects of life within the hold.

Farming District/Village- Proposed by Caseus

A small farming village will be built around the area of our only farm expansion, so that we may increase the amount of farmers in the area, as many citizens have expressed the desire to farm the rich and fertile land that surrounds the city.

An Explanation of the Revised Hold and Lord System for the Dwarven Nation

Holds are the states of the Dwarven Kingdom. They allow for a more organized nation and for the creation of future cities and towns. At the current time, more towns and cities are not needed, as the Dwarven population is low. We should still encourage other races to build here, as if we don’t, they will build somewhere else and we will have lost our chance to gain new citizens and a more populated and fun experience within our nation.

Lord System

Lords are the nobility and keepers of our nation. They are second to the kings and ((should)) govern the nation as the kings would themselves.

Lord Baron

Higher ranking then the general baron population, he governs and regulates any barons within his control that he has granted land to or that have been designated as part of the hold by the High King. You may not grant any piece of land to a baron other than a detached port (detached from the barons village, town, etc.), a town, a village, or a special plot of land granted by the king. In order to receive the title of Lord Baron, you must govern (under the Dwarven government) one city or two towns at the least.

Baron

Each Baron is a lord of the Dwarven nation who has earned the right of land, granted by a Lord Baron of a hold or by.

Lord

A lord has no official governing property, but may own manors, houses, etc. just as the normal population may. However, lords are nobility and should be treated in a dignified manner.

General area approved by the king, as long as taxes are provided each week. I limited the actual Kal'Dwain region to what is encompasses in the orange lines until we need more land due to population overload.

As a friend of Darius, the Ironguts, a frequent visitor and supporter of Kal'Dwain, and the fact that it's my backup plan, I hereby sign this charter.

+1

Caseus, The Wood Elf!

I have a farm just outside the city and provide a weekly offering/harvest of Four Bushels of Wheat for Darius to use to help feed everyone. I have also offered help in most areas of the city with building, mining out at least two levels of the city, and have helped all who ask.
